10-12 people: Tres or Orion

For a team that fits around one table the sports boat Tres takes 10 guests for AED 1,200 on its 3-hour minimum, the cheapest company outing on the water. The Orion adds a cabin and a saloon for 12 on a 2-hour minimum, AED 1,600 for the Marina loop, which is the right length for a client dinner.

Up to 30: Libra, Pisces and Aries #2
62-64 ft, 24-30 guests, from AED 1,150 per hour, 2-hour minimum A department outing, a launch for a client list

Up to 30: Libra, Pisces and Aries

The three 62-64 ft yachts are the workhorses of company events: 24 guests on the Libra, 25 on the Pisces, 30 on the Aries, one cabin, 2-3 crew and a 2-hour minimum from AED 1,150 per hour. Thirty people for 3 hours with the Palm lagoon and the sunset is AED 3,450, AED 115 a head before catering.

From 45 guests the fleet moves to the 80-92 ft yachts at AED 3,500 per hour on a 3-hour minimum, with 3-4 crew and 1-2 cabins: Freedom, Polaris, Silo, Aura and Solana. The 90 ft X8 houseboat takes 60 from AED 2,800 per hour on a flat, stable deck made for a standing buffet and a speech.

Up to 100: Stardom, 140 ft #4
Superyacht from Dubai Harbour, AED 11,250 per hour, 4-hour minimum The flagship client event, 5 cabins and 6 crew

Up to 100: Stardom, 140 ft

The superyacht with the longest guest list: 100 guests, 5 cabins and 6 crew, from AED 11,250 per hour with a 4-hour minimum, leaving from Dubai Harbour next to Bluewaters rather than the Marina. Four hours is AED 45,000, or AED 450 a head at capacity, and the route reaches Burj Al Arab and Atlantis from the sea.

Up to 190: X15, the event yacht #5
125 ft, Dubai Marina, AED 11,250 per hour, 3-hour minimum Conferences, gala nights, the all-company party

Up to 190: X15, the event yacht

The X15 is built as an event space rather than a yacht with cabins: 125 ft, 190 guests, 6 crew and no cabins, all of it deck, from AED 11,250 per hour with a 3-hour minimum. Three hours at full capacity is AED 33,750, about AED 180 a head, and it leaves from the Marina behind Al Majara Tower.

The shared shortcut for a small team #6
Yacht party $99 per person (21+), shared hour from $32 Under 12 people, no organising, fixed price per head

The shared shortcut for a small team

A team of 8 that wants a night out rather than an event books seats on the 21+ yacht party: $99 each for 4 hours with a live DJ, a live BBQ and unlimited soft drinks, shared with 25-45 other guests. For a daytime team hour, the shared 1-hour yacht tour is $32 a seat with hourly departures.

What a corporate yacht charter costs

Every boat in the fleet is priced per hour for the whole boat, and the rate includes the captain, the crew, fuel, water, ice and soft drinks. The range for a company event runs from AED 1,200 for 10 people on a 40 ft boat to AED 33,750 for 190 people on the X15, and the per-head figure sits between AED 115 and AED 450 depending on how full the boat is. Catering is the main extra and is quoted in advance against the menu and the numbers; drinks you bring yourselves.

The table is the honest budget for the common headcounts on the minimum hours, before catering. Fill the boat and the per-head cost falls; book a bigger boat than the list needs and it rises fast, which is why the guest count is the first thing we ask for. The full per-hour list for all 30 boats is in Dubai yacht rental prices.

Which boat for which headcount

Capacity is a hard limit that the marina confirms against the booking, so start from the final list, not the invited one. Up to 10 people fit the sports boats, with the 40 ft Tres the largest of them; 12 fit the 48 ft Orion and the 50-52 ft yachts; 24-30 fit the 62-65 ft yachts led by the 64 ft Aries; 45-60 fit the 80-92 ft decks such as the 92 ft Solana; 100 fit the 140 ft Stardom; 190 fit the X15.

Cabins matter more for a company event than for a party: a cabin is the green room where a speaker collects the notes, the place to store the awards and the spot for anyone who needs a quiet call. The Orion has one, the 62-65 ft yachts one, the 110 ft Icon has 5 for 50 guests at AED 4,900 per hour on a 4-hour minimum, and the Stardom 5 for 100. The X15 has none, which is exactly why it carries 190: every square metre is deck.

Departure point is the other difference. Most of the fleet boards at the marina lounge on the marina level of Al Majara Tower, Dubai Marina; the four boats Stardom, Encore, Behike and Mr & Mrs Smith leave from Dubai Harbour, next to Bluewaters, which changes the route order and the transport plan for guests. Dubai Marina vs Dubai Harbour explains both; the whole fleet with rates is at yacht rental in Dubai.

The X15: the event yacht for up to 190

The X15 is the one boat in the fleet designed for a crowd rather than for cruising: 125 ft long, 190 guests, 6 crew, no cabins and a 3-hour minimum from AED 11,250 per hour, departing from Dubai Marina behind Al Majara Tower. At full capacity a 3-hour event is AED 33,750, about AED 180 a head with the crew, fuel, ice, water and soft drinks in, and the 3-hour route takes the whole company past JBR, Bluewaters and Ain Dubai to the Palm lagoon at sunset.

Its natural comparison is the Stardom: the same AED 11,250 per hour, but 100 guests, 5 cabins, a 4-hour minimum and Dubai Harbour as the departure point. Choose the Stardom when the guest list is shorter and the brief is luxury and privacy for clients; choose the X15 when the brief is everyone on one deck. For the X15 send us the date, the headcount and what the evening needs — a speech, a DJ, a seated dinner or a standing buffet — and we check the boat with the marina and come back with what it can do and the total in writing.

Catering and drinks for a company event

Catering is ordered in advance with the booking and added for a fee. The fleet's menu categories are a live BBQ with a chef on board, Arabic and Lebanese platters, seafood and cakes, which covers most formats from a standing buffet to a plated dinner. Final guest numbers and the catering are confirmed the evening before the charter, so the RSVP deadline for the office is the day before, not the week before.

Drinks are bring-your-own on every private charter. Alcohol is allowed on board for guests of legal drinking age, 21 and over, and a dry event is the easiest of all: water, ice and soft drinks are already included in the rate. Dry food such as sandwiches and snacks may come aboard on disposable plates; your own BBQ meat may not, because the grill belongs to the chef. Smoking is only on the open deck, never inside, and there are no pets.

Two rules to put in the invitation. Shoes come off before boarding on every boat, so the dress code is smart with no heels; and every guest needs a copy of a passport or Emirates ID on their phone, which is UAE law for boarding. The alcohol laws guide is worth a line in the briefing for guests flying in: drinking is for the deck at sea, not the pier or the marina walkway.

The written confirmation: booking, invoicing and the deposit

Booking is on WhatsApp and the process is built to give finance a paper trail. You send the guest count, the hours, the date and the occasion; we check the yacht with the marina and confirm the boat, the slot and the total in writing before any payment. That confirmation is the document for approval, so tell us at that point what your accounts team needs on it, such as the company name and address, rather than after the event.

At check-in a security pre-authorisation of AED 2,000-15,000, depending on the yacht, is held on a card and released after the trip, so the cardholder for the company card has to be on the pier at boarding. Cancelling yourself costs 50% of the charter up to 48 hours before departure and 100% within the last 24 hours; a Coast Guard weather warning is different and gives you a new route, a new date or a full refund free of charge. The Marina and JBR waters are usually calm, and cancellations for weather are rare.

For the guests, boarding is at the marina lounge on the marina level of Al Majara Tower 20-30 minutes before departure: DMCC metro station on the Red Line, then the tram, a short taxi or a walk, and 3 hours of free parking at Marina Mall, which a 3-hour charter plus boarding will exceed, so put taxis in the plan for drivers. The crew are STCW-certified and English-speaking, from Dubai's largest charter fleet, on the water since 2006.

Timing the event: 2, 3 or 4 hours

The hours decide the route and the boats available. Two hours cover the Marina canal, JBR, Bluewaters and Ain Dubai — the right length for a client cocktail — but only the 48-65 ft yachts run 2-hour minimums, so 2 hours means 12-30 guests. Three hours add the Palm Jumeirah lagoon with a swim stop in daylight, the standard company evening, and open up the 70 ft and larger boats including the X15. Four hours reach Burj Al Arab and Atlantis from the sea and are the minimum on the superyachts.

Sunset is the most requested slot in the fleet, so book it first and confirm the date before the invitations go out. It falls at about 5:30 PM in December and about 7:10 PM in June; a 3-hour sunset event in the season boards around 3 PM and returns as the towers light up, while from May to September, when days are 38-45°C, the evening slot after the heat is the one to take. Swimming, if the team day includes it, is at anchor in daylight within 3 m of the boat and closes around 7 PM in summer and 5 PM in winter. How many hours to rent a yacht sets out the three lengths with the boats that fit each.

The charter runs on the booked slot and a late group shortens its own event, so brief the guests on a boarding time 30 minutes before departure. If the evening is going well and the boat is free afterwards, an extension on the day is possible and is paid to the captain. During Ramadan the yachts run as normal but live music and loud entertainment pause across the city and the dates move about 11 days earlier each year; Ramadan in Dubai explains what changes, so check the dates for your year before fixing a DJ night.

The shared shortcuts, and the offsite day

A team under 12 that wants a night out rather than a private event books the Dubai Marina yacht party: $99 per person, boarding 8:30 PM at the pier behind Al Majara Tower, 9 PM to 1 AM past Ain Dubai, the Palm and Burj Al Arab with a live DJ, a live BBQ and unlimited soft drinks, shared with an international crowd of 25-45 guests. It is strictly 21+ with original ID, smart casual, and paid in full in advance. Yacht party vs private charter works out the break-even by group size.

For a daytime team hour the 1-hour shared yacht tour is from $32 a seat with hourly departures: check-in 20 minutes before at Level P of Al Majara Tower with an original passport or Emirates ID, the Marina canal, JBR, Bluewaters and the photo stop in front of Ain Dubai, back in 60 minutes.

For the offsite day on land, the full-day desert safari collects the whole team from the hotel in 4x4s from $45 per person, with no prepayment, dune bashing, sandboarding and the BBQ dinner with shows at the camp; the Abu Dhabi city tour runs a private car for up to 7 at $245 with a flexible schedule for a client day at the Grand Mosque and Yas Island.

The corporate checklist

The event succeeds or fails on details that are easy to fix a week out and impossible on the pier. These are the ones that come up on every company booking.

  • Final headcount: confirmed with the catering the evening before; the boat's capacity is a hard limit.
  • Documents: a passport or Emirates ID copy on every guest's phone, collected with the RSVP.
  • The card: the cardholder for the AED 2,000-15,000 security pre-authorisation is on the pier at check-in.
  • Dress code: smart, no heels, shoes off on board; a layer for December to February evenings at 14-20°C.
  • Drinks policy: bring your own for guests 21+, or run it dry on the included water and soft drinks.
  • Transport: DMCC metro and taxis for a Marina departure; a separate plan for the Dubai Harbour superyachts; Marina Mall parking is free for 3 hours only.
  • The slot: sunset first, 30 minutes early for boarding, an on-the-day extension only if the boat is free.
  • Weather: a Coast Guard warning moves the route or the date or refunds in full; your own cancellation costs 50% inside 48 hours and 100% inside 24.

FAQ

How much does a corporate yacht charter cost in Dubai?

From AED 1,200 for 10 people on the 40 ft Tres for 3 hours to AED 33,750 for 190 people on the 125 ft event yacht X15 for 3 hours, about AED 180 a head. In between: 30 guests on the 64 ft Aries for 3 hours at AED 3,450, 60 on the 92 ft Solana at AED 10,500, 100 on the 140 ft Stardom for 4 hours at AED 45,000. Captain, crew, fuel, water, ice and soft drinks are included; catering is extra.

What is the biggest yacht for a corporate event in Dubai?

The X15, a 125 ft event yacht for up to 190 guests with 6 crew, from AED 11,250 per hour on a 3-hour minimum, departing from Dubai Marina behind Al Majara Tower. For a smaller, more private list the 140 ft superyacht Stardom takes 100 guests with 5 cabins from Dubai Harbour at the same hourly rate on a 4-hour minimum.

Can we serve alcohol at a company event on a yacht?

Yes, on a private charter you bring your own drinks, and alcohol is allowed on board for guests of legal drinking age, 21 and over; water, ice and soft drinks come with the boat, so a dry event needs nothing extra. Drinking is for the deck at sea, not the pier or the marina. The shared yacht party allows no outside drinks at all.

Do we get a written confirmation or invoice for the charter?

Yes. Once you send the headcount, hours, date and occasion on WhatsApp, we check the yacht with the marina and confirm the boat, the slot and the total in writing before any payment is taken. Tell us at that point what your accounts team needs on the confirmation, such as the company name and address, and we include it.

How far ahead should a company book a yacht in Dubai?

As soon as the date is fixed: the sunset slot is the most requested in the fleet and the big boats, the X15 and the Stardom, are single vessels, so the date matters more than the headcount. The final guest numbers and the catering are confirmed only the evening before, and a cancellation costs 50% up to 48 hours out and 100% within 24 hours.

What do guests need to bring to board a corporate charter?

A copy of a passport or Emirates ID on their phone, which is UAE law for every passenger, and socks if they would rather not go barefoot, because shoes come off before boarding. The company's cardholder brings the card for the AED 2,000-15,000 security pre-authorisation held at check-in and released after the trip. Board 20-30 minutes before departure.

What happens if the weather cancels a corporate charter?

If the Coast Guard issues a weather warning the charter moves to a new route, a new date or a full refund, free of charge; the Marina and JBR waters are usually calm and this is rare. A cancellation for the company's own reasons costs 50% up to 48 hours before departure and 100% within the last 24 hours, so fix the date once the invitations are out.
