A private yacht in Dubai costs from AED 400 per hour for the whole boat. That is the rate for the 31-40 ft sports boats seating 6-10; a 48 ft yacht with a cabin is AED 800 per hour, the 62-64 ft yachts for 24-30 guests are AED 1,150, and the superyachts run from AED 4,900 to AED 22,500. Every rate includes captain, crew, fuel, water, ice and soft drinks, and every boat has a 2, 3 or 4-hour minimum, so a realistic group budget is AED 1,200-2,300 for the boat, or AED 77-300 a head. The full table for all 30 boats in our charter fleet is below.

The price bands, from cheapest to superyacht
#1
31-40 ft sports boats
Four open boats at the same rate: the Sealine for 6, Uno and Dos for 9, Tres for 10. AED 1,200 buys three hours for the whole boat, which is AED 120-200 a head when full. No cabin, so hats and sunscreen by day, but the Marina loop and a swim stop off JBR are both easily done in the minimum booking.
#2
48-53 ft yachts
The first size with a cabin and a saloon to retreat into. The Orion takes 12 at AED 800 an hour; Misty and Blessed take 12 and the Magnum and Daphne 17 at AED 1,000. Two hours from AED 1,600 for the boat covers the Marina, JBR, Bluewaters and the Ain Dubai photo stop with time to spare.
#3
62-65 ft yachts
Libra for 24, Pisces for 25 and Aries for 30 at AED 1,150 an hour are the best value in the fleet when full: AED 2,300 for two hours is AED 77-96 a person. The Iris (AED 1,750) and the Leopard (AED 2,100, crew of three) are the pricier versions of the same size.
#4
70-98 ft yachts and the houseboat
From the 70 ft Altar at AED 1,750 through the 82 ft Elara at AED 2,100 to the 90 ft X8 houseboat with room for 60 at AED 2,800 and the 80-92 ft Freedom, Polaris, Solana, Silo and Aura at AED 3,500. Three hours from AED 5,250; the X8 is the cheapest way to float 60 people, AED 140 each.
#5
110-150 ft superyachts
The Icon (110 ft, 50 guests, 5 cabins) from AED 4,900 an hour; the Stardom for 100 and the X15 event yacht for 190 from AED 11,250; the Encore from AED 12,000 and the 150 ft Behike from AED 22,500 with a crew of seven. Stardom, Encore and Behike leave from Dubai Harbour next to Bluewaters rather than the Marina pier.
#6
The shared alternative
If the group is small, the whole-boat maths never works. The 1-hour shared yacht tour leaves hourly from the same pier from $32 per person, all ages, and the 21+ yacht party at 9 PM is $99 with a DJ and a live BBQ. Two people on the shared hour pay about AED 235 together; the smallest private boat is AED 1,200.
What a yacht costs in Dubai: the short answer
From AED 400 per hour, for the whole boat. That is the retail rate for the four smallest boats in our fleet, 31-40 ft sports boats seating 6-10, with a 3-hour minimum, so the cheapest private outing on the water is AED 1,200. The next step is the 48 ft Orion at AED 800 per hour with a 2-hour minimum (AED 1,600), then a run of 50-53 ft yachts at AED 1,000, the 62-64 ft yachts for 24-30 guests at AED 1,150, and so on up to the 150 ft Behike at AED 22,500 per hour.
Two things keep the maths honest. Every rate is for the boat, not per person, and it includes the captain, the crew, the fuel, water, ice and soft drinks; there is nothing to add for a plain cruise. And every boat has a minimum booking, 2 hours on most 48-65 ft yachts, 3 hours on the small boats and on 70 ft and above, 4 hours on the superyachts, so the number to budget is the hourly rate times the minimum. For most groups that lands between AED 1,200 and AED 2,300 for the boat, or AED 77-300 a head.
The full price table: 30 boats by size
These are the retail from-rates for every boat we charter, sorted by price. All leave from the marina lounge at Al Majara Tower, Dubai Marina, except the four marked Dubai Harbour, which board at the superyacht marina next to Bluewaters. Each boat has its own page with photos and layout on the yacht rental section.

Retail from-rates per hour for the whole boat, captain, crew, fuel, water, ice and soft drinks included. Catering is extra and quoted in advance. The exact total for your date and hours is confirmed on WhatsApp before any payment.
Two boats look expensive for their size and are worth a word. The Mr & Mrs Smith is 98 ft for only 12 guests because it is built around three cabins rather than a party deck; it is the boat for a family or two couples who want space, not numbers. The X15 is the opposite: 125 ft, no cabins, 190 guests and a 3-hour minimum, an event floor that happens to float.
Minimum hours: what the cheapest booking on each band costs
The minimum is where most quotes start, because two or three hours is genuinely enough for the classic route: 2 hours covers the Marina canal, JBR, Bluewaters and the Ain Dubai photo stop; 3 hours adds the Palm Jumeirah lagoon with a swim stop; 4 hours reaches Burj Al Arab and Atlantis from the sea. The how many hours guide goes through that choice in detail. Here is what the minimum booking costs on each band, and what it comes to per head with the boat full.
| Band | Minimum | Boat total | Per person, boat full |
|---|---|---|---|
| 31-40 ft boats (AED 400) | 3 h | AED 1,200 | AED 120-200 |
| 48 ft Orion (AED 800) | 2 h | AED 1,600 | AED 133 |
| 50-53 ft yachts (AED 1,000) | 2 h | AED 2,000 | AED 118-167 |
| 62-64 ft Libra, Pisces, Aries (AED 1,150) | 2 h | AED 2,300 | AED 77-96 |
| 62 ft Iris (AED 1,750) | 2 h | AED 3,500 | AED 140 |
| 70 ft Altar (AED 1,750) | 3 h | AED 5,250 | AED 228 |
| 65 ft Leopard (AED 2,100) | 2 h | AED 4,200 | AED 140 |
| 82 ft Elara (AED 2,100) | 3 h | AED 6,300 | AED 210 |
| 75-98 ft at AED 2,800 (Vio, Starlight, X8, Mr & Mrs Smith) | 3 h | AED 8,400 | AED 140-700 |
| 80-92 ft at AED 3,500 (Freedom, Polaris, Solana, Silo, Aura) | 3 h | AED 10,500 | AED 175-233 |
| 110 ft Icon (AED 4,900) | 4 h | AED 19,600 | AED 392 |
| 125 ft X15 event yacht (AED 11,250) | 3 h | AED 33,750 | AED 178 |
| 140 ft Stardom (AED 11,250) | 4 h | AED 45,000 | AED 450 |
| 131 ft Encore (AED 12,000) | 4 h | AED 48,000 | AED 960 |
| 150 ft Behike (AED 22,500) | 4 h | AED 90,000 | AED 1,800 |
Extra hours are charged at the same hourly rate, agreed when you book. If the yacht is free after your slot, the captain can extend on the day and the extra time is paid to him directly. The one thing you cannot do is shorten the minimum: a couple who want a single hour on a private boat pay for three on the Sealine, which is the point at which the shared hour from $32 a seat starts to look sensible.
What is included, and what is not
The hourly rate is closer to all-inclusive than most people expect, which is why a plain sunset cruise with your own drinks costs exactly the table price and nothing more.
- Included in every rate: the boat for the booked hours, an STCW-certified English-speaking captain and crew (one on the small boats, up to seven on the Behike), fuel for the agreed route, bottled water, ice and soft drinks.
- Your own, at no charge: drinks, including alcohol for guests of legal drinking age (21+), and dry food such as pizza, sandwiches and snacks on disposable plates. Raw BBQ meat cannot be brought aboard.
- Extra, ordered in advance: catering. A live BBQ with a chef on board, Arabic and Lebanese platters, seafood, and cakes for birthdays and proposals are all arranged before the day and quoted with the boat. Final guest numbers and catering are confirmed the evening before.
- Held, not charged: a security pre-authorisation of AED 2,000-15,000 depending on the yacht, taken on a card at check-in and released after the trip.
- Quoted separately: the 4-hour fishing charters on the Uno, Dos and Tres, which come with tackle and bait; the fishing trip guide explains how they run, and the price comes on WhatsApp.
- Not included: transport to the pier. The marina lounge at Al Majara Tower is a short taxi from anywhere in the Marina or JBR, DMCC metro station on the Red Line is the nearest stop, and Marina Mall gives three hours of free parking.
Per-person maths: how to make a charter cheap
Because the boat is priced as a whole, the cost per person depends on two decisions: how full the boat is and how many hours you book. The best value in the fleet is always the boat whose capacity matches your group exactly, booked for its minimum. The table runs that rule through the group sizes we are asked about most.
| Group | Cheapest boat that fits | Booking | Boat total | Per person |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | Sealine, 31 ft | 3 h | AED 1,200 | AED 600 |
| 4 | Sealine, 31 ft | 3 h | AED 1,200 | AED 300 |
| 6 | Sealine, 31 ft, full | 3 h | AED 1,200 | AED 200 |
| 10 | Tres, 40 ft, full | 3 h | AED 1,200 | AED 120 |
| 12 | Orion, 48 ft, full | 2 h | AED 1,600 | AED 133 |
| 17 | Daphne, 53 ft, full | 2 h | AED 2,000 | AED 118 |
| 25 | Pisces, 62 ft, full | 2 h | AED 2,300 | AED 92 |
| 30 | Aries, 64 ft, full | 2 h | AED 2,300 | AED 77 |
| 60 | X8 houseboat, 90 ft, full | 3 h | AED 8,400 | AED 140 |
| 100 | Stardom, 140 ft, full | 4 h | AED 45,000 | AED 450 |
| 190 | X15 event yacht, full | 3 h | AED 33,750 | AED 178 |
Add your own food or catering on top. A tip for the crew is welcome but never required.
Notice the shape: the price per head falls from AED 600 for a couple to AED 77 for thirty friends on the Aries, then rises again as the boats get grander rather than bigger. The sweet spot for a birthday or a group of friends is the 62-64 ft band, which is why the birthday on a yacht guide starts there. For a couple, honesty says the private boat is a luxury: AED 1,200 for three hours on the Sealine buys privacy and a swim stop, not a better view than the shared cruise gives for about AED 235 for two.
If you are sizing the whole trip, the how much a Dubai trip costs guide puts a charter next to hotels, food and the other tours, so you can see what a AED 2,300 evening does to a five-day budget.
Add-ons: catering, extension, fishing and the occasion
Catering is the one add-on that changes the price meaningfully, and it is worth understanding how it works before you ask for a quote. Nothing is cooked on board unless it is ordered in advance; the crew are sailors, not caterers, and BBQ meat cannot be carried on. What can be arranged is a live BBQ with a chef, Arabic and Lebanese platters, seafood, and a cake with a name on it. Tell us the occasion and the numbers on WhatsApp and the catering is quoted with the boat, then confirmed with the final guest count the evening before.
An extension is the cheapest add-on of all because it is just more of the same hourly rate, but it depends on the yacht being free after your slot; on a sunset booking in season do not count on it, so book the hours you actually want. Fishing is its own product: the Uno, Dos and Tres run 4-hour fishing charters with tackle and bait, priced separately. And for anything else, a proposal, a corporate evening, decorations or a photographer, say so when you enquire; what we can arrange, we confirm before you pay, and what we cannot, we say.
The shared alternative: when the whole boat is more than you need
A private charter is priced for a group. For one to four people the arithmetic points the other way, and it is better to say so than to sell a couple three hours on a sports boat. The 1-hour shared yacht tour runs hourly from the same pier from $32 per person, about AED 117, on a premium yacht with a crew who help with the photos; it covers the Marina canal, JBR, Bluewaters and a stop in front of Ain Dubai, which is most of what a 2-hour private cruise sees. The yacht party is the 21+ version of a night out: $99, about AED 365, for four hours with a live DJ, a live BBQ and unlimited soft drinks.
The break-even is around five people. At six, the Sealine for three hours is AED 200 a head, cheaper than the party and than two shared hours, and you get the boat to yourselves with a swim stop. Below that, the shared cruises win on price every time; the yacht party vs private charter comparison runs the numbers for every group size. Above ten, a private boat is the cheaper option as well as the nicer one.
Booking, payment and the small print
A charter is booked in one WhatsApp conversation: guests, hours, date and occasion. We check the yacht with the marina, confirm the time and the total, and only then is anything paid. Nothing is charged for a boat that has not been confirmed. The private yacht rental guide walks through the day itself; the rules that affect the price are these.
- Cancellation: 50% of the total is retained if you cancel up to 48 hours before departure, 100% inside the last 24 hours. If the Coast Guard issues a weather warning the choice is yours: a new route, a new date or a full refund, free of charge.
- Documents: every guest needs a copy of their passport or Emirates ID on their phone, a UAE requirement, plus the card for the security pre-authorisation at check-in.
- Timing: the charter runs on the booked slot, and a late arrival shortens your time rather than shifting it. Board at the marina lounge on the marina level of Al Majara Tower 20-30 minutes before departure; superyachts marked Dubai Harbour board there instead.
- Sunset: the most requested slot on every boat. If golden hour is the plan, book it first and build the rest of the day around it.
- On board: shoes off before boarding, no smoking inside, no pets. Swimming is in daylight, at anchor, off the Palm or JBR, within three metres of the yacht; the Coast Guard closes it around 7 PM in summer and 5 PM in winter. Children under 10 wear life jackets, under-21s stay with an adult, and babies under 2 stay in the saloon or cabin with a parent.
If the water is one day of a longer trip, the full-day desert safari from $45 with hotel pickup and no prepayment is the day most charter guests book next, and the two never clash: the safari returns late in the evening, the yacht is best in the afternoon and at sunset.
FAQ
How much does it cost to rent a yacht in Dubai?
From AED 400 per hour for the whole boat. The 31-40 ft sports boats for 6-10 guests are AED 400 with a 3-hour minimum (AED 1,200), a 48 ft yacht for 12 is AED 800 with a 2-hour minimum (AED 1,600), the 62-64 ft yachts for 24-30 guests are AED 1,150, and superyachts run from AED 4,900 to AED 22,500 per hour with a 4-hour minimum. Captain, crew, fuel, water, ice and soft drinks are included.
What is the cheapest yacht rental in Dubai Marina?
AED 1,200: the Sealine (31 ft, 6 guests), Uno and Dos (35 and 40 ft, 9 guests) and Tres (40 ft, 10 guests) all cost AED 400 per hour with a 3-hour minimum. Full, that is AED 120-200 per person for three hours with captain and fuel included. For fewer than about six people, the shared 1-hour cruise from $32 a seat is cheaper still.
How much is a yacht for 12 people in Dubai?
The 48 ft Orion takes 12 at AED 800 per hour with a 2-hour minimum: AED 1,600 for the boat, AED 133 each. The 50 ft Misty and Blessed also take 12 at AED 1,000 per hour (AED 2,000 for two hours). If the group may grow, the 52 ft Magnum and 53 ft Daphne hold 17 at the same AED 1,000 rate.
Is fuel included in yacht rental prices in Dubai?
Yes. Every rate in our fleet includes fuel for the agreed route, the STCW-certified captain and crew, bottled water, ice and soft drinks. You bring your own drinks and dry snacks free of charge; catering such as a live BBQ or a cake is the only extra, ordered in advance. A security pre-authorisation of AED 2,000-15,000 is held on a card and released after the trip.
How much does a superyacht cost to rent in Dubai?
From AED 4,900 per hour for the 110 ft Icon (50 guests, 5 cabins), with a 4-hour minimum, so AED 19,600 for the shortest charter. The 140 ft Stardom for 100 guests is AED 11,250 per hour, the 131 ft Encore AED 12,000 and the 150 ft Behike AED 22,500, which makes AED 90,000 for four hours. Three of the four board at Dubai Harbour next to Bluewaters.
Do I pay a deposit to book a yacht in Dubai?
Not before the boat is confirmed. You send guests, hours, date and occasion on WhatsApp, we confirm the yacht with the marina and the total, and payment follows. At check-in a security pre-authorisation of AED 2,000-15,000, depending on the yacht, is held on a card and released after the trip. Cancelling costs 50% up to 48 hours before departure and 100% inside 24 hours.
Is a private yacht cheaper than the shared tour?
Only from about five or six people. Two guests on the 1-hour shared yacht tour pay $64 together, about AED 235; the smallest private boat costs AED 1,200 for its 3-hour minimum, AED 600 each. At six the Sealine is AED 200 a head, at ten the Tres is AED 120, and a full 64 ft Aries for 30 comes to AED 77 for two hours, cheaper than any shared option.
