Dubai's best indoor attractions run from free to AED 365: the aquarium panel in The Dubai Mall costs nothing, the Dubai Frame is AED 50, The Green Planet AED 155, Ski Dubai from AED 265 and IMG Worlds AED 365. All are air-conditioned. This list gives each price, the opening hours, the time to allow and who it suits, taken from official pages and Visit Dubai's ticket listings, with a check-before-you-go note. The Museum of the Future is closed, so it is not on the list.

Six indoor attractions, with what they cost
#1
Ski Dubai
Visit Dubai's listing shows Snow Classic from AED 265 for all-day park entry, Snow Plus from AED 325 and Snow Premium from AED 465, which adds a 40-minute penguin encounter and a meal. A 2-hour slope pass is AED 250 and needs intermediate skills. Under-twos cannot enter, and a refundable AED 25 deposit is taken for the access card.
#2
Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo
The big viewing panel can be seen free from the mall floor. Visit Dubai's listing shows paid tickets from AED 199 for Silver (the tank, a 48 m tunnel and the penguins), AED 269 for Gold, which adds the Underwater Zoo and a glass-bottom boat, and AED 399 for Platinum. The panel alone is enough for many adults.
#3
The Green Planet
An indoor rainforest dome with a giant artificial tree, canopy walkways and animals. Visit Dubai's listing shows AED 155 for adults and AED 135 for children aged 2 to 10, open 11 AM to 6 PM, and a 2-hour duration. It is a good morning for small children, and a modest one for adults without them.
#4
IMG Worlds of Adventure
An indoor theme park with 22 rides and roller coasters. Visit Dubai's listing shows AED 365 for guests aged 2 and over, with children under 105 cm free. Hours are noon to 10 PM from Sunday to Thursday and noon to 11 PM on Friday and Saturday, when queues close. It is the most expensive item here and takes a whole day.
#5
Dubai Frame
The Frame's own website lists AED 50 for adults, AED 20 for children from 3 to 12 and free entry for under-threes, with opening hours of 8 AM to 9 PM every day, including weekends. Allow about an hour. It is the cheapest paid view on this list and a good first stop before the heat builds.
#6
Burj Khalifa observation decks
A timed ticket, not a guided tour: from $55 per person for Levels 124 and 125 and from $115 for SKY on Level 148, booked through us for a date and slot, with the e-tickets sent on WhatsApp. You make your own way to the mall. Allow 1.5-2 hours, and book the slot first because it is fixed.
Best indoor attractions in Dubai: the short answer
For a hot day, start with the free one and add one paid attraction. The viewing panel of the Dubai Aquarium costs nothing and is inside The Dubai Mall; the Dubai Frame is AED 50; The Green Planet is AED 155; Ski Dubai starts at AED 265; IMG Worlds is AED 365. The Burj Khalifa decks are from $55 with us. Everything on this list is air-conditioned, and most are in or next to a mall.
This page is the priced list. The hour-by-hour plan for a 40°C day, with the beach, the evening and the desert, is in Dubai in summer: what to do in the heat, and we do not repeat it here. The list also works in winter on a rare rainy day, and for children who are tired of the sun.
The list with prices, hours and time needed
Prices are from Visit Dubai's ticket listings and, for the Frame, the Frame's own website. Some of those listings show an older update date, and the aquarium listing gives one set of hours for July and a different set elsewhere on the page, so treat every figure as a guide and check the operator's site before you pay.
| Attraction | Price (AED) | Hours | Time to allow | Getting there |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dubai Mall and the aquarium panel | Free to enter and to watch the panel | 10 AM to 11 PM Monday-Thursday, to midnight Friday-Sunday | 3-4 hours with the Burj Khalifa and the Fountain area | Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall station, then the air-conditioned Metro Link bridge |
| Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo | From 199 (Silver), 269 (Gold), 399 (Platinum) | July hours on the listing: 11 AM to 9 PM on weekdays, 10 AM to 9 PM at weekends | 1.5-2 hours | Inside The Dubai Mall |
| Ski Dubai | Snow Classic from 265, Snow Plus from 325, Snow Premium from 465; slope pass 250 | 10 AM to 11 PM Monday-Thursday; Friday to midnight; weekends from 9 AM to midnight | About 3 hours | Mall of the Emirates station, Red Line |
| The Green Planet | 155 adult, 135 child (2-10) | 11 AM to 6 PM on the listing | 2-3 hours | City Walk; no metro station at the door, so a taxi |
| IMG Worlds of Adventure | 365 (aged 2 and over); under 105 cm free | Noon to 10 PM Sunday-Thursday; noon to 11 PM Friday-Saturday | 5-7 hours | Dubailand; a taxi, about 30 minutes from Downtown |
| Dubai Frame | 50 adult, 20 child (3-12), under 3 free | 8 AM to 9 PM every day | About 1 hour | Zabeel Park, Gate 4; Al Jafiliya station |
| Burj Khalifa decks | From $55 (about AED 200) for Levels 124-125; from $115 for SKY | Our Burj Khalifa timing guide gives 7 AM to 11 PM | 1.5-2 hours | The Dubai Mall, lower ground floor |
| Etihad Museum | 25 adult; children free | 10 AM to 8 PM; last entry 7 PM | 1.5-2 hours | Jumeirah; no metro station, so a taxi |
| Trampo Extreme | 150 for 2 hours | Check the operator | 2 hours | Dubai Mall or Nakheel Mall |
Prices in AED unless stated. The Etihad Museum figure is from our Etihad Museum guide. Hours change in Ramadan and on public holidays.
Free and cheap: a day under AED 100
You can fill a hot day without paying for a big ticket. The Dubai Mall is free to enter, and the aquarium's huge viewing panel can be seen from the mall floor at no charge. The Metro Link bridge from the station is air-conditioned, so the whole route is cool. Mall of the Emirates is also free to enter, with Ski Dubai inside it if you want to look at the slope through the glass.
| Plan | Adult cost (AED) | What fits |
|---|---|---|
| Free morning | Metro fare only, about AED 3-7.5 each way | The Dubai Mall, the aquarium panel and the walk through the mall |
| Two cheap sights | 75: Dubai Frame 50 plus Etihad Museum 25 | A morning at the Frame, a taxi, then the museum; both are air-conditioned galleries |
| One paid attraction | 155: The Green Planet | A morning with children, then lunch at City Walk |
Costs are per adult, before travel and food. Children pay less at the Frame and the Green Planet, and the museum is free for children.
Where the money goes: Ski Dubai, the aquarium and IMG Worlds
Three attractions are priced by tier, so read what each ticket includes. At Ski Dubai, the Snow Classic ticket gives all-day park entry with tobogganing, a bob sled and a tubing run; Snow Plus adds unlimited rides and a choice of a Snow Bullet ride or a slope session; Snow Premium adds the penguin encounter, a lesson or slope session and a meal. The 2-hour slope pass is for skiers and snowboarders at intermediate level, and it includes the jackets, trousers, boots, a locker and the gear. Helmets are compulsory for children under 13.
The Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo has three tiers: Silver for the tank, the 48 m tunnel and the penguin area, Gold for the full Underwater Zoo, a glass-bottom boat and fish feeding, and Platinum with skip-the-line access, vouchers and one animal encounter. Our advice is to start with the free panel. If you have a child between about 3 and 10, the Gold ticket is what they remember.
IMG Worlds is the one that needs a full day, at AED 365 per person, so it only pays if you use five hours or more of it. The hours on the listing are when queues close, not when the rides stop. The Green Planet is the opposite: cheaper, shorter and gentler. It is lovely for children aged 2 to 10, and a modest visit for adults on their own.
Views in the air conditioning: the Dubai Frame and the Burj Khalifa
Two attractions give you the city from above in a cool room. The Dubai Frame is the cheap one, AED 50 for adults, with hours from 8 AM, so it suits the first hour of the day. The Burj Khalifa decks are higher and cost more: from $55 per person for Levels 124 and 125, or from $115 for SKY on Level 148. The ticket is for a fixed date and time slot, so check them before you pay; we book the slot and send the e-tickets on WhatsApp.
Whichever you choose, the walk through The Dubai Mall to the lower ground floor and the security check come before the lift, and you should allow 1.5-2 hours in all. In summer, haze can soften the daytime view, so a late-afternoon slot often shows more than a midday one.
The Museum of the Future is closed
The Museum of the Future has been temporarily closed since 1 September 2026, with a reopening reported for the first quarter of 2027, so it is not on the list. Our Museum of the Future guide has the closure status, what the ticket cost before and what to do instead. The nearest replacements are the Dubai Frame for the view and the Etihad Museum for a museum: AED 25 for adults, open 10 AM to 8 PM, and free for children.
Booking, cold air and the evening after
Book timed tickets online for the weekend and school holidays, and check the cancellation rule at checkout: Visit Dubai's listings show a full refund if you cancel 24 hours before The Green Planet or the aquarium, and 48 hours before the Ski Dubai Snow Park package, but our Burj Khalifa tickets cannot be changed or refunded once issued. Bring a light layer for the air conditioning, and bring ID, which Ski Dubai asks for at entry.
After an indoor day the evening is easier outside. Our 1-hour shared yacht tour leaves hourly from the Dubai Marina pier behind Al Majara Tower, from $32 per person, with the sea breeze at the sunset slot. Check in 20 minutes before departure and pay in advance, because the sunset hour sells out first.
FAQ

The Dubai Mall with its free aquarium panel, the Dubai Frame (AED 50), The Green Planet (AED 155), Ski Dubai (from AED 265), IMG Worlds (AED 365) and the Burj Khalifa decks (from $55 with us). Choose by who is going: the panel and the Frame for budgets, the Green Planet for small children, IMG Worlds for teenagers.
What is free to do indoors in Dubai?
Walking The Dubai Mall and seeing the aquarium's big viewing panel from the mall floor, and walking Mall of the Emirates, are free. You pay only for the Metro, about AED 3-7.5 a trip, and for food. The aquarium tickets and Ski Dubai are paid attractions inside those malls.
How much is Ski Dubai?
Visit Dubai's listing shows Snow Classic from AED 265, Snow Plus from AED 325 and Snow Premium from AED 465, plus a 2-hour slope pass at AED 250. A refundable AED 25 deposit is taken for the access card, and under-twos cannot enter. Prices change, so check the operator before you pay.
How much is the Dubai Aquarium?
The big viewing panel is free to watch from the mall floor. Visit Dubai's listing shows paid tickets from AED 199 for Silver, AED 269 for Gold and AED 399 for Platinum, and the listing says guests aged 2 and over pay the same. Check the operator's site for the current price and the hours on your day.
Is IMG Worlds worth AED 365?
Only if you use most of the day: the park has 22 rides and roller coasters, and children under 105 cm enter free. It is open noon to 10 PM from Sunday to Thursday and noon to 11 PM on Friday and Saturday, so a full visit is five to seven hours. For small children, The Green Planet at AED 155 is a gentler choice.
What are the cheapest indoor things to do in Dubai?
The Dubai Mall and its aquarium panel are free. The Dubai Frame is AED 50 for adults and AED 20 for children from 3 to 12, and the Etihad Museum is AED 25 for adults. Together the Frame and the museum come to AED 75 per adult. The Green Planet, at AED 155, is the next step up.
Is the Museum of the Future open?
No. It has been temporarily closed since 1 September 2026, with a reopening reported for the first quarter of 2027. Do not buy a ticket for it now. For a museum, try the Etihad Museum (AED 25), and for a view, the Dubai Frame or a Burj Khalifa slot.
