AURA Skypool is a timed, ticketed infinity pool more than 200 m up on the Palm Tower, with seats from about AED 225 in recent listings. It is sold by session and view rather than as an open day pass: Marina view from about AED 225, Palm view from about AED 275, cabanas far more. This guide covers the age and dress rules, the best session, how to get there, and when the shared yacht tour, from $32 per person, is the better buy.

Five ways to see the Palm from above or from the water
#1
A Marina view sofa seat
The entry-level seat in recent listings, looking across the water to the towers of Dubai Marina, JBR and Bluewaters. It costs less than the Palm-facing seats, which makes it the sensible pick if the pool and the atmosphere matter more to you than the shape of the island. Check which row and which session your ticket gives.
#2
A first-row Palm view seat
The seat that shows why people come: the Palm's fronds lined with villas, the lagoon between them and the open sea beyond. The first row costs more than the rows behind it, and the Burj Al Arab-view seats are dearer again at about AED 300, though that landmark is distant, so bring a phone with a good zoom.
#3
The sunrise session
Listings show a sunrise package that starts around 6-7 AM with breakfast and bar service, from about $68. It is the best-value session of the day and the only one that stays comfortable in summer, because the sun is low and the crowds have not arrived. The price of waking up early is that you must be in the Palm by dawn.
#4
The View at The Palm next door
If you do not want to swim, the observation deck in the same tower gives the same sweep of the Palm, the Marina and the coast, with an open-air terrace and no pool to book. We can book it on request together with a Burj Khalifa ticket, and we quote the price on WhatsApp.
#5
The Palm from the sea by speedboat
The only way to see the crescent and Atlantis at sea level. Our shared speedboat tour leaves the Marina, rounds Palm Jumeirah to Atlantis The Palm and Atlantis The Royal, stops at Ain Dubai and the Burj Al Arab, and comes with live commentary in English. It is a different view from AURA, not a replacement for it.
AURA Skypool in one minute
AURA Skypool is a 360-degree infinity pool on top of the Palm Tower, more than 200 m above Palm Jumeirah, and a session costs from about AED 225. That is the entry price for a sofa seat with a Marina view in recent ticket listings; a first-row Palm view starts at about AED 275, a Burj Al Arab view at about AED 300, and private cabanas cost far more. Sessions are timed, so you book a slot and a view, not an open day pass.
It is worth it as a one-off splurge if you want a swim with the whole Palm below you, and it suits couples, photographers and anyone marking an occasion. It is poor value if all you want is the view: the View at The Palm observation deck sits in the same tower and costs less. It is also an adults' venue, with a minimum age of about 15 and a 21+ rule in the evening, so it is not a family pool.
Every figure here is rounded from recent listings, not from an official price list. Prices change with the time of day, the day of the week and the season, so check the official AURA site before you book.
How the sessions and prices work
AURA sells timed sessions for a seat or a cabana. The seat decides your view, and the view decides the price: the Palm side, with the trunk and the fronds laid out below, costs more than the Marina side, and the Burj Al Arab side is the dearest of the three seats. Listings show a sunrise session that starts around 6-7 AM with breakfast and bar service, daytime sessions, and an evening session listed from 8 PM to 11 PM.
| Option | From (about) | Best for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Marina View sofa seat | AED 225 | The Marina, JBR and Bluewaters skyline | Cheapest seat; check the row and the session |
| Palm View seat, first row | AED 275 | The Palm trunk, fronds and lagoon | Later rows cost less and see less |
| Burj Al Arab View seat | AED 300 | The sail-shaped hotel on the coast | The tower is far away, so use a zoom |
| Sunrise session | $68 (about AED 250) | Quiet decks, cool air, first light | A 6-7 AM start on the Palm |
| Cabana | Much higher | Groups and couples who want a private spot | Find out what the price includes |
Rounded from recent ticket listings, not an official price list. Prices change with session, day and season; check the official AURA site before booking.
Check the ticket type before you pay. Swimming is tied to pool access, and a seat-only ticket is for the view and the photos. If you travel as a pair, make sure both tickets are the same type, or one of you will watch the other swim.
Age, dress code and rules
These are the rules that ticket listings repeat. They are set by the operator and can change at short notice, so use this list as a checklist of things to confirm when you book, not as the final word.
- Age: guests under 15 are not admitted at any time, guests aged 15-17 need an adult with them, and after about 7 PM the minimum age is 21.
- ID: bring a passport or an Emirates ID; photo ID is checked at the door.
- Dress: the code is smart resort wear, listed as Island Chic. Swimwear, sportswear and flip-flops are not accepted on arrival, though tailored shorts are fine. Arrive smartly dressed and change inside if your ticket includes swimming.
- Swimming: only with a pool-access booking; a seat-only ticket is for looking, not swimming.
- Bring: sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat for daytime sessions, and a light layer for sunrise, because the deck is more than 200 m up and the air can be cool and breezy at dawn.
Which session: sunrise, day, sunset or night
Sunrise is the best value of the day. The pool is quiet, the air is cooler and the first light falls across the Palm. Listings show sunrise packages from about $68 (around AED 250), and it is the one session in summer when the deck is comfortable.
Late afternoon into sunset is the classic and the busiest slot. Sunset is about 5:30 PM in November and December and about 7:10 PM in June and July; our Burj Khalifa timing guide lists all twelve months. Pick a slot that ends after the sun goes down, when the towers light up. Midday from May to September is the session to skip: the sun is overhead and there is little shade on a roof, so if you must go then, book a cabana for the shade or keep the stay short.
The evening session runs into the night with the Marina and JBR towers lit, and it is where the 21+ rule applies. It suits a couples' night out, but for the city lit from above on a lower budget, a Burj Khalifa slot at night works too.
How to get to the Palm Tower
The Palm Tower stands at the foot of the Palm's trunk, above Nakheel Mall on Palm Jumeirah. A taxi from Dubai Marina takes about 20-30 minutes and costs about AED 35-50, and it is the simplest way in. By public transport you ride the Red Line to DMCC or Sobha Realty, take the tram to the Palm Jumeirah stop, then the monorail or a short taxi to Nakheel Mall, which sits under the tower.
Our monorail and tram guide has the connections, and Marina to Palm Jumeirah compares taxi, tram and boat. Give yourself 30 minutes before your slot for the lifts and check-in, and plan the return, because the evening session ends late and sunrise guests leave when the roads are quiet. The wider picture of the island is in the Palm Jumeirah area guide.
AURA, The View at The Palm or the sea
Four different ways to see the same coast, at four different prices. The table puts them side by side, with AURA's price rounded from listings and our tour prices as the from-prices per person.
| Way to see it | From (about) | Time | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| AURA Skypool seat | AED 225 | A timed session | A pool, a seat and the Palm from above; adults only |
| The View at The Palm | Quoted on WhatsApp | Self-arrival, no set length | An observation deck with an open-air terrace in the same tower |
| Speedboat tour | $45 | 90 minutes | Round the Palm to Atlantis, with Ain Dubai and Burj Al Arab stops |
| Shared yacht tour | $32 | 1 hour | Marina, JBR, Bluewaters and Ain Dubai from the water; it stays in the Marina |
The speedboat tour does not take children under 5 or guests aged 65 and over; the shared yacht tour welcomes children with an adult.
The choice is simple. For the shape of the Palm from above and a swim, AURA. For the same view without the pool, The View at The Palm, which we can book on request alongside a Burj Khalifa ticket. For Atlantis and the crescent up close, the speedboat tour. And for the Marina skyline that AURA's Marina seats look down on, the shared yacht tour is the cheapest way to see it from below: one hour from $32 per person, with hourly departures that sell out, so full prepayment secures your slot. More vantage points are ranked in best views in Dubai.
Is AURA Skypool worth it? Our honest take
It depends on what you are buying. You are paying for a seat on a roof, a swim and a view, and the price reflects the setting more than the pool.
- Choose AURA if you want to swim above the Palm, you are celebrating something, or you are a photographer who wants the island's shape from the air without a helicopter.
- Choose The View at The Palm if you want the same panorama for less and do not need the pool.
- Choose the sea if you would rather be on the water: Atlantis, the Palm crescent and the Burj Al Arab are better from a boat.
- Skip it in the middle of a summer day, when the heat makes a rooftop pool a short stay; take sunrise or an evening slot instead.
- Skip it with children, since the rules keep younger guests out.

It is on top of the Palm Tower at the foot of the Palm Jumeirah trunk, above Nakheel Mall. A taxi from Dubai Marina takes about 20-30 minutes and costs about AED 35-50. Is AURA Skypool worth the money?
As an occasional splurge for a swim with a 360-degree view, yes. If you only want to look, the observation deck costs less, and from the water a one-hour shared yacht tour in the Marina is from $32 per person.
Can I see the Palm from the sea instead?
Yes. Our 90-minute shared speedboat tour from Dubai Marina, from $45 per person, rounds Palm Jumeirah to Atlantis The Palm and Atlantis The Royal and stops at Ain Dubai and the Burj Al Arab. Children under 5 and guests aged 65 and over are not permitted on it.
