What's on in Dubai in November 2026: the short answer

The big dates are 31 October to 29 November for the Dubai Fitness Challenge, Sunday 8 November for Diwali and 5-8 November for UNTOLD. The Dubai Media Office announced the challenge, which includes the Dubai Run on 22 November. Gulf News reports Dubai's official Diwali programme from 2 to 12 November. Listing sites give the UNTOLD dates, and the line-up had not been announced as of 29 October 2026.

Two seasonal attractions are open all month. Global Village opened on Wednesday 14 October and Dubai Miracle Garden on 8 October, and both run into 2027. Add comfortable weather and a sunset around 5:30 PM, and November is one of the easiest months to fill with outdoor plans. Below is a calendar, what each event means for your trip, and how to fit it around a sunrise balloon and our other tours.

Why November is one of the best months in Dubai

The heat has eased, daytime highs are typically around 30°C, evenings are mild, and November to March brings the clearest air for views. Sunset is about 5:30-5:40 PM, so outdoor plans start earlier than in summer and the evening is long. It is also the start of the busy season, so hotels and popular slots fill faster than in September or October.

Our month-by-month guide covers the weather for the rest of the year. For this month, three things matter. Bring a light layer for the evening in the desert, and a light jacket from December. Balloon mornings are chilly, so layer up and wear closed shoes. And book popular slots early: the balloon baskets sell out one to two weeks ahead.

Events that can change your day: the Ride, the Run, Diwali and UNTOLD

Mass events on city streets usually bring road closures and busy taxis. Dubai Ride on 1 November passes Dubai Mall, Dubai Opera and Burj Khalifa, and Dubai Run on 22 November is on Sheikh Zayed Road, so check the RTA road-closure notices for those days before you book an early transfer or a morning Burj Khalifa slot. If you plan to run or ride, register ahead; the Ride requires it.

Diwali is about lights and crowds. Expect the busiest nights around Sunday 8 November at the places that held official displays in recent years, Al Seef and Global Village, and at temples around Lakshmi Puja. In Abu Dhabi the BAPS Hindu Mandir holds Diwali and Annakut programmes; check schedules and any registration. Our Abu Dhabi city tour includes the Mandir, so message us on WhatsApp if you want a date in the Diwali programme and we will tell you how the day fits. More in our Diwali guide.

UNTOLD is a four-day festival at Dubai Parks and Resorts, so expect heavy traffic and likely ride-hailing queues at closing time. Plan the journey home before you go, and look at the Fitness Challenge guide if you want something calmer.

The outdoor season is open

Four attractions are open as the weather turns. Details are as reported in October 2026, and our winter attractions guide has more.

  • Global Village, Season 31: opened on 14 October with a 600-drone show, Khaleej Times reported, and runs until May 2027 with no closing date published. Tickets are AED 25 on weekdays and AED 30 on weekends; one report says Sunday now counts as a weekend day. Read our Global Village guide.
  • Dubai Miracle Garden, Season 15: open daily to 31 May 2027, 9 am to 9 pm on weekdays and 9 am to 11 pm on weekends, with a different theme each week. See the Miracle Garden guide.
  • Dubai Safari Park, Season 8: reopened on 12 October. Ticket prices were not published at the time of the reports. Last season general admission started from about AED 50 for adults and AED 20 for children, with opening at about 9 am to 5 pm.
  • Dubai Fountain: after its five-month renovation last year, Emaar listed afternoon shows at 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm daily (2:00 pm and 2:30 pm on Friday) and evening shows every 30 minutes from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Emaar had scheduled a second renovation phase for the second quarter of 2026, and we found no announcement of changed show times, so check its channels.

A November week built around the balloon

A balloon morning is the anchor for a good week, because it needs a pre-dawn start and a free morning afterwards. Here is one way to place the rest.

  • Day 1, morning: the sunrise balloon flight, 4-5 hours door to door from $275. Keep the afternoon free.
  • Day 2, late afternoon: a Burj Khalifa slot about an hour before sunset, which in November means about 4:30 PM, then the Dubai Fountain. See our best time to visit Burj Khalifa.
  • Day 3, 5 PM: the Marina speedboat tour, whose last departure of the day is at 5 PM, $60. From October to mid-March the sun sets during that ride.
  • Day 4: the full-day desert safari, from $45, with hotel pickup and a camp evening.
  • Any evening: Global Village from the afternoon, or Miracle Garden, which is open until 9 pm or 11 pm.

Getting to the two seasonal sites is covered in Dubai to Global Village and Miracle Garden.

What is not confirmed yet

Some details were still open as of 29 October 2026. Check them before you pay or plan around them.

  • UNTOLD: the line-up had not been announced.
  • Diwali: exact venues and line-ups are announced close to the date.
  • Emaar Dubai Premier Padel P1: the listed 8-15 November dates looked inconsistent.
  • Global Village: reports differ on hours (4 pm to midnight Sunday to Wednesday and 4 pm to 1 am Thursday to Saturday in one, a Monday to Thursday split in another).
  • Dubai Safari Park: Season 8 prices were not published at the time of the reports.
