The four outdoor attractions back for the season
#1
Dubai Miracle Garden
Season 15 opened on 8 October 2026 with the theme “Fifteen Years, Blooming Together”, and the theme changes every week for the first time, according to Gulf News and Khaleej Times. Adults were announced at AED 100 and children at AED 80 before VAT. Go in the late afternoon, when the sun is lower and the lights come on.
#2
Dubai Safari Park
Khaleej Times and Gulf News reported the reopening under the line “Live More Wild Life”. Season 8 prices had not been published in those reports; last season general admission started from about AED 50 for adults and AED 20 for children, and in season the park is open about 9 am to 5 pm. Go in the morning, and check the official site for the current prices.
#3
Global Village
Season 31 opened on 14 October with a 600-drone show, according to Khaleej Times. Entry is AED 25 on weekdays and AED 30 on weekends, and the park opens at 4 pm. It runs until May 2027 with no closing date announced, so there is no hurry; pick a weekday evening and read our full Season 31 guide.
#4
The Dubai Fountain
Emaar said the Fountain reopened on 1 October last year after a five-month renovation, with afternoon shows at 1:00 and 1:30 pm and evening shows every 30 minutes from 6:00 to 11:00 pm. A second phase of upgrades was scheduled for the second quarter of this year, and we found no announcement of changed times; check Emaar's channels.
Dubai's outdoor season is back: the short answer
Three seasonal attractions have opened in October 2026: Dubai Miracle Garden on 8 October, Dubai Safari Park on 12 October and Global Village on 14 October. The Dubai Fountain, which reopened last October after a renovation, completes the set. Tickets start at AED 25 for a weekday at Global Village and run to AED 100 for an adult at the Miracle Garden, before VAT. The table has the facts as reported by Khaleej Times, Gulf News and Emaar, as of 29 October 2026.
| Attraction | Opened | Hours as reported | Entry as reported |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dubai Miracle Garden, Season 15 | 8 October 2026, daily to 31 May 2027 | 9 am to 9 pm weekdays; 9 am to 11 pm weekends | Adult AED 100, child AED 80 before VAT; under 3 free |
| Dubai Safari Park, Season 8 | 12 October 2026 | About 9 am to 5 pm in season; check | Prices not published in the reports; last season from about AED 50 adult, AED 20 child |
| Global Village, Season 31 | 14 October 2026, to May 2027 | From 4 pm; closing midnight or 1 am, reports differ | AED 25 weekdays, AED 30 weekends |
| Dubai Fountain | Reopened 1 October last year | Afternoon 1:00 and 1:30 pm; evenings every 30 minutes, 6:00 to 11:00 pm, at reopening | Free to watch |
Prices and hours can change. Check each attraction's official site or app before you go.
In October the middle of the day is still warm, so the sensible order is Safari Park in the morning, the Miracle Garden in the late afternoon and Global Village or the Fountain after dark. From December the cooler weather lets you shift everything later or earlier without penalty.
Dubai Safari Park: what is known
Khaleej Times and Gulf News reported in September that Season 8 would open on 12 October under the line “Live More Wild Life”. The park reopened on that date. The reports did not publish Season 8 ticket prices. Last season general admission started from about AED 50 for adults and AED 20 for children, and in season it is open from about 9 am to 5 pm. Treat those as a guide, not a quote.
The park is on the east side of the city, in Al Warqa, so it is a taxi ride from most hotels. Go as early as you can: the walk is long, the animals are usually more active in the cooler morning, and a morning leaves the late afternoon free for the Miracle Garden. Bring water and a hat. Our Dubai Safari Park guide covers the park itself.
The Dubai Fountain: show times and the open question
Emaar said the Fountain reopened on 1 October last year after a five-month renovation. At reopening, the afternoon shows were at 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm daily, moving to 2:00 pm and 2:30 pm on Fridays, and the evening shows ran every 30 minutes from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
Emaar also scheduled a second phase of work for the second quarter of this year, with upgraded technology. We found no 2026 announcement of changed show times, but the schedule can change, so check Emaar's channels on the day. Watching is free from the waterfront outside The Dubai Mall, Burj Park or the Souk Al Bahar bridge.
The Fountain pairs naturally with a Burj Khalifa visit: a slot about an hour before sunset has you coming down as the evening shows run. See our guide to the best time to visit Burj Khalifa, and the Dubai Fountain show guide.
If you only have time for one or two
Choose by who is travelling. With children under ten, the Safari Park in the morning is the easiest win: it is open in daylight, easy to leave and over by lunchtime. For couples and anyone who likes photographs, the Miracle Garden in the late afternoon is the pick, and the Fountain makes a free finish to the same day if you are staying in Downtown.
Global Village is the one that packs the most variety into a single night, with food and goods from many countries, but it is also the most crowded and the least rested way to spend an evening. Skip it on a short trip if you dislike queues, and skip the Miracle Garden if flowers do not interest you. None of the four is a reason to change your dates, because all of them run for months.
What does deserve a firm date is the part of the trip that is not seasonal: the desert, the balloon and the sea. Those depend on weather and on a limited number of places, so confirm them first and let the seasonal attractions fill the gaps. Our guide to the best things to do in Dubai on a first visit ranks them if you need to choose.
What to book first this winter
The seasonal attractions can be decided on the day. The things that sell out are the activities with limited places, so book those first and fit the rest around them.
| Item | When to book | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Sunrise hot air balloon, from $275 | At least 1-2 weeks ahead | The baskets sell out one to two weeks ahead; a 30% deposit confirms the flight |
| Marina yacht tour, from $32 | A few days ahead | Hourly departures sell out; full pre-payment secures the slot |
| Burj Khalifa ticket, from $55 | A few days ahead, earlier for sunset slots | Fixed date and time; no refunds or changes once issued |
| Full-day desert safari, from $45 | Agree the date on WhatsApp | No prepayment; you pay on the day |
| Miracle Garden, Safari Park | Online, the same day or the day before | Tickets sold online; check the final price |
| Global Village, the Fountain | No need to book ahead | Buy at the gate or in the app; the Fountain is free |
Our prices are per person. The balloon is not suitable for children under 7.
Winter is a busy time for tours, so the earlier you ask, the more choice of date you have. Our balloon season guide explains why the cool months suit the flight best.
A family plan for four outdoor days
This plan keeps one big outdoor stop per half-day and uses the cooler hours for walking. Swap the days around to suit your dates.
| Day | Morning | Afternoon or evening |
|---|---|---|
| Day 1 | Dubai Safari Park from about 9 am | Miracle Garden from about 3 or 4 pm |
| Day 2 | Rest or a pool morning | Our full-day desert safari: about 7 hours with hotel pickup |
| Day 3 | Beach or Old Dubai walk | Marina shared yacht tour, 1 hour, then dinner at the Marina |
| Day 4 | Free | Burj Khalifa slot about an hour before sunset, then the Fountain, then Global Village on another evening |
Our desert safari is not recommended for infants under 3; the shared yacht tour welcomes children under adult supervision.
For more detail by age, see Dubai with kids: a 5-day family itinerary. The desert safari starts from $45 per person, and the quad bike upgrade is $65.
Crowds, holidays and what comes next
The weeks to watch are the National Day holiday on 2 and 3 December, the start of the shopping festival on 4 December and Christmas to New Year. All three bring busier attractions and higher prices. Our guides to UAE National Day, the Dubai Shopping Festival and what's on in November cover each one.
If you can choose your dates, November and the first days of December are the sweet spot: the weather is easy, the seasonal attractions are open, and the crowds are lighter than in the holiday weeks.
Weekends are the pressure point at the Miracle Garden and Global Village alike. A weekday visit costs less at Global Village (AED 25 against AED 30) and means shorter queues, so if your dates allow it, put the two seasonal attractions on weekdays and use weekends for the desert, the sea or Abu Dhabi.
