A jet ski in Dubai costs from $79 per jet ski for 30 minutes, and two people ride it for that price, so a couple pays under $40 each. How much does a jet ski cost in Dubai?

From $79 per jet ski for 30 minutes to the Burj Al Arab, and from $140 for 60 minutes to the Burj Al Arab and Atlantis, for early-morning and midday slots; afternoon slots cost more. The price is per jet ski, and up to 2 riders share one at no extra cost. A 2-hour ride is arranged on request for groups of 4 jet skis or more.

  • Is the jet ski price per person or per jet ski?

Three rides and three combos with the jet ski

30 minutes: the Burj Al Arab and back #1
From $79 per jet ski, up to 2 riders First-timers, couples, anyone adding a second activity

30 minutes: the Burj Al Arab and back

Out of Umm Suqeim harbour behind the instructor, past the Jumeirah Beach Hotel to the Burj Al Arab, a photo stop with the sail behind you, then back the same way. Allow about an hour at the harbour in all. Two riders pay once, so a couple's ride is $39.50 each.

60 minutes: on to Atlantis #2
From $140 per jet ski, up to 2 riders Time at the handlebars, two drivers sharing one jet ski

60 minutes: on to Atlantis

The same Burj Al Arab stop, then along the coast to Atlantis on the Palm before turning for home: about 1.5 hours at the harbour in all. It costs less than two 30-minute rides, $140 against $158, and with two drivers aged 16 or over on one jet ski, each gets a proper turn.

2 hours: groups of 4 jet skis or more #3
On request, priced on WhatsApp Groups of friends, up to 2 riders per jet ski

2 hours: groups of 4 jet skis or more

The long ride is arranged only for groups of four jet skis or more, which with a passenger on each means up to eight people. Send the number of riders, their ages and the date, and we confirm the price with the base before anyone pays.

Jet ski + flyboard: $168 #4
30-minute flyboard, 30-minute break, 30-minute jet ski Riders 16+ who want one ride and one new skill

Jet ski + flyboard: $168

The flyboard lifts you above the water on jets fed through a hose from a jet ski; after a 30-minute break comes the ride to the Burj Al Arab. The flyboard is priced per person and the base has one board, so two friends each book a session and share one jet ski.

Jet ski + donut or wakeboard: $228 or $218 #5
Donut for up to 4 riders, or a 30-minute wakeboard session Groups of four aged 12+; one wakeboarder aged 15+

Jet ski + donut or wakeboard: $228 or $218

The donut is one tube for up to four riders aged 12 and over, towed by a boat for 30 minutes, then one jet ski for two; each extra jet ski is from $79. The wakeboard pairing suits one rider aged 15 or over, though a 15-year-old joins the jet ski only as a passenger.

What a jet ski costs in Dubai: the short answer

From $79 per jet ski for 30 minutes, from $140 for 60 minutes. Both prices are for the machine, not the rider: one jet ski takes up to two people at no extra cost, so a couple on the 30-minute ride pays $79 together, $39.50 each. The 30-minute ride goes from Umm Suqeim Fishing Harbour to the Burj Al Arab and back with a photo stop; the hour makes the same stop and continues along the coast to Atlantis on the Palm. A 2-hour ride exists too, arranged on request for groups of four jet skis or more.

The from-prices apply to early-morning and midday slots. Afternoon slots cost more, and we confirm the exact price for your slot on WhatsApp before you pay. Everything else is in the price of the jet ski ride to the Burj Al Arab: the certified instructor who rides in front, the safety briefing and life jacket, fuel, the photo stop, the photos and videos the instructor takes of you, and the lockers, changing rooms and showers at the base. Full prepayment confirms the slot, and cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the ride.

The three combinations at the bottom pair the 30-minute jet ski with another activity from the same harbour. Their price is simply the two prices added together ($89 + $79, $139 + $79, $149 + $79); what the package gives you is one booking, with the 30-minute break between the two activities built in.

Per jet ski, not per person: what couples, friends and families pay

The most useful fact about the price is that it is per machine. One jet ski seats a driver and a passenger, and the second rider costs nothing. The driver must be 16 or older; the passenger can be as young as 5. If both riders are 16 or over they can swap at the handlebars, so a couple both get to drive on one booking. When you book, tell us the two riders' combined weight so we can confirm one jet ski suits two.

  • Couple or two friends: one jet ski. $79 for 30 minutes or from $140 for the hour, both of you driving in turn.
  • Four friends: two jet skis, riding in pairs. From $158 for 30 minutes or from $280 for the hour, which is $39.50 or $70 a head.
  • Parent and child aged 5 to 15: one jet ski, the parent drives and the child rides behind. A 15-year-old is still a passenger here, even though the same teenager can parasail and wakeboard at the base.
  • Two parents, two children aged 5 to 15: two jet skis, one parent driving each. From $158 for the 30-minute ride to the Burj Al Arab.
  • Groups of four jet skis or more: the threshold for the 2-hour ride, priced on request; with a passenger on each, that is up to eight people.

A solo rider pays the full jet ski price, the same as a couple, so the ride is better value with two on board. If you are on your own and want the coast without driving, parasailing from the same harbour is priced per flight: $99 solo.

The route: Umm Suqeim harbour to the Burj Al Arab, and on to Atlantis

Both rides start at Umm Suqeim Fishing Harbour on Jumeirah Road, next to the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. That matters for planning: this is Jumeirah, not JBR, which is Jumeirah Beach Residence by the Marina, a different stretch of coast. There is no hotel pickup, and the exact pin comes with the booking. There is no Metro on the beach road either: the nearest Red Line station is Mall of the Emirates, then a 10-15 minute taxi, and from most hotels a taxi straight to the harbour is simplest.

From the harbour you follow the instructor out onto the sea and along the coast past the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, and the Burj Al Arab is only a few minutes away. The instructor stops with the hotel behind you and takes your photos and videos. On the 30-minute ride you then head back; on the 60-minute ride you carry on along the coast to Atlantis on the Palm before turning for home, which is where the extra half hour goes.

A note on the landmark itself: the Burj Al Arab is closed for restoration until about late 2027, with no fixed reopening date. The ride shows it from the sea, and the sail-shaped exterior stays in view behind you at the photo stop.

Speed is up to you. The jet skis can reach about 100 km/h, but nobody is asked to go that fast: you ride at your own pace behind the instructor and keep a safe distance from other riders and boats. If you want the hotel from land as well, the Jumeirah and Burj Al Arab guide covers Sunset Beach and the other photo spots a short taxi from the harbour.

30 or 60 minutes: which ride to book

Book the 30 minutes if it is your first time on a jet ski, if you are combining it with another activity, or if the Burj Al Arab photo is the point. It is about an hour at the harbour in all, check-in included, and it leaves room for the flyboard, the donut or a parasail flight after the 30-minute break.

Book the hour if you want time at the handlebars rather than just the photo, or if both riders want a real turn driving. It makes the same photo stop and adds the run to Atlantis, about 1.5 hours at the harbour in all, and it costs less than two 30-minute rides: from $140 against $158. The tour page lists it as the top pick.

The 2-hour ride is for groups only, four jet skis or more, arranged on request. If you are still deciding whether you want to drive at all, jet ski vs parasailing vs flyboard sets the three side by side: handlebars, a canopy or a board.

No licence needed: how the guided ride works, and who should not ride

You do not need a jet ski licence or any previous experience. The ride is guided from start to finish: after check-in you sign a waiver, the team explains how the jet ski works, fits your life jacket and sets the riding rules, and then the instructor rides in front the whole way. First-timers and experienced riders are both welcome.

Non-swimmers can ride: everyone wears a life jacket, and the instructor leads the group throughout. The two exclusions are pregnancy, which rules jet skiing out entirely, and back or heart problems, with which it is not recommended. Nothing is held upfront for damage, but damage caused by ignoring the briefing, above all riding too close to other jet skis, is charged.

The age, weight and health rules for all five activities at the base are in one place in water sports age, weight and safety rules, which helps if your group is mixing a jet ski with something else.

Documents, what to wear and what stays in the locker

Every rider needs an original passport or Emirates ID: the physical document, not a copy and not a photo on your phone. It is a Dubai maritime rule and applies to the passenger as much as the driver, children included. Arrive 20 minutes before your slot; late arrivals ride only at the base's discretion.

  • Wear: swimwear. You will get wet, from spray if nothing else, and the life jacket goes on over the top.
  • Bring: a towel and sunscreen. Lockers, changing rooms and showers are at the base, so you can arrive in normal clothes and change there.
  • Leave in the locker: your phone, because the instructor takes the photos and videos. Hats and loose sunglasses tend to come off at speed, so leave them with your things.
  • In summer: take the earliest slot you can. From May to September Dubai is hot and the early slots are the coolest; October to April is the comfortable season on the water. Early slots also carry the from-price.

Time of day, photos and adding a second activity

Early-morning and midday slots carry the from-price; afternoon slots cost more, and we confirm the price for the slot you want before payment. Rides depend on the sea: if it is too rough, we move you to another available slot, and if none fits your dates, you get a full refund.

The photos and videos are free and come to your phone at the harbour after the ride. Collect them before you leave, because the files are not kept after 24 hours. If you are adding a second activity, the base leaves a 30-minute break between them. The flyboard with the jet ski is $168, and it works neatly for two people: each books a flyboard session and both share one jet ski. Parasailing from the same harbour is $99 solo or $179 for a tandem; it is the one activity there without free photos, with a GoPro to rent for AED 150 when one is available.

To book, send us the date, the number of riders and their ages on WhatsApp, with the combined weight for any pair sharing a jet ski. We agree the slot and the price, you prepay, and the confirmation follows. The Burj Al Arab jet ski ride page has the full details, and water sports in Dubai covers everything else that leaves the same harbour.

FAQ

How much does a jet ski cost in Dubai?

From $79 per jet ski for 30 minutes to the Burj Al Arab, and from $140 for 60 minutes to the Burj Al Arab and Atlantis, for early-morning and midday slots; afternoon slots cost more. The price is per jet ski, and up to 2 riders share one at no extra cost. A 2-hour ride is arranged on request for groups of 4 jet skis or more.

Is the jet ski price per person or per jet ski?

Per jet ski. One jet ski takes a driver aged 16 or over and a passenger aged 5 or over, and the second rider is free, so a couple on the 30-minute ride pays $79 together. Riders who are both 16+ can swap at the handlebars. Tell us the combined weight when booking so we can confirm one jet ski suits two.

Do I need a licence to ride a jet ski in Dubai?

No, not for a guided ride. The team gives a safety briefing, explains the controls and fits your life jacket, and a certified instructor rides in front the whole way. First-timers are welcome, and you ride at your own pace.

What is the minimum age to ride a jet ski in Dubai?

16 to drive and 5 to ride as a passenger. A child aged 5 to 15 rides behind a driver aged 16 or over, such as a parent. Children under 5 cannot join any activity at the base, and jet skiing is not allowed during pregnancy.

Can I still see the Burj Al Arab from the jet ski?

Yes. The Burj Al Arab is closed for restoration until about late 2027, with no fixed reopening date, but the ride shows it from the sea and the sail-shaped exterior stays in view. Both the 30- and 60-minute rides stop with the hotel behind you for photos.

Can non-swimmers ride a jet ski in Dubai?

Yes. Everyone wears a life jacket, fitted at the briefing, and the instructor leads the group for the whole ride. Jet skiing is not recommended for people with back or heart problems.

Where does the jet ski ride start?

At Umm Suqeim Fishing Harbour on Jumeirah Road, next to the Jumeirah Beach Hotel and a few minutes from the Burj Al Arab; the exact pin comes after booking. It is in Jumeirah, not at JBR, and there is no hotel pickup. Arrive 20 minutes early with an original passport or Emirates ID for every rider.

Are photos and videos included on the jet ski ride?

Yes, free. The instructor photographs and films you on the water and transfers the files to your phone at the harbour after the ride, so your phone can stay in the locker. Collect them before you leave: they are not kept after 24 hours.
