Ferrari World Abu Dhabi costs about AED 345 online, and the big coasters need a height of 130-140 cm: Formula Rossa from 140 cm, Flying Aces and Turbo Track from 130 cm. It is a fully air-conditioned indoor park on Yas Island, about an hour or more from Dubai, with a free shuttle for ticket holders. Allow 6-8 hours. This guide lists the rides with their height limits, the ticket prices, how to get there, the best days and who should skip it, and explains that our Abu Dhabi tour only stops for a photo.

Four ways to build a day around Ferrari World
#1
Ferrari World and Yas Mall
Yas Mall is linked to the park, so you can leave for lunch or air-conditioned shopping and come back. It is also the lunch stop on our Abu Dhabi tour. Free parking at the park is in the Grand Prix car park at the mall, with proof of entry, so the mall and the park share one visit.
#2
Add Yas Waterworld
A water park on the same island, outdoors and busiest in summer. The Yas parks sell a ticket that covers two parks in one day, but a double day is long, so we would only do it with teenagers or adults and a very early start. Check the combined price and the park's rules before you decide.
#3
Add SeaWorld Yas Island
An indoor marine park, calmer than Ferrari World and a good match for children under 1.2 m who miss out on the big coasters. It is also air-conditioned, so a two-park day works in July and August. Check ticket combinations on the official Yas Island site before you buy, and allow the better part of a day for each park.
#4
Yas Marina Circuit
The circuit hosts the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in early December, and the island is at its busiest and most expensive then. Outside race week, check the circuit's own site for tours and experiences. If you plan a December trip, book well ahead and expect hotel prices to jump.
Ferrari World Abu Dhabi: the short answer
A one-day ticket is about AED 345 online, and the big coasters have height limits of 130-140 cm. Formula Rossa, billed as the world's fastest roller coaster launch at 240 km/h, needs 140 cm. Flying Aces, Turbo Track, Fiorano GT Challenge and Mission Ferrari start at 130 cm. The park is on Yas Island, fully air-conditioned and indoors, so it works in any month, and a full day takes 6-8 hours.
It is a good day for teenagers and adults who like speed, and it is the best theme-park option in the UAE capital in summer. It is poorer value for families whose children are under 1.2 m: they can ride, but fewer rides are open to them. Prices, hours and ride closures change, so check the official site before you buy.
Rides and height limits
The park has more than 40 rides and experiences across five zones. Minimum heights come from the official ride pages. The list below is not complete; the park's own height filter shows every ride.
| Ride | Min height | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| Formula Rossa | 140 cm (max 195) | Launch coaster to 240 km/h, goggles worn, about 4.8 G |
| Flying Aces | 130 cm | Tall loop coaster, up to 120 km/h, billed as the highest non-inverted loop |
| Turbo Track | 130 cm | Back-to-back launches, a vertical climb and a drop, 102 km/h |
| Fiorano GT Challenge | 130 cm | Side-by-side racing coaster on parallel tracks |
| Mission Ferrari | 130 cm | 5D coaster in a spy-themed building, with a sideways drop |
| Made in Maranello | 120 cm | A virtual factory tour ride |
| Benno's Great Race | 120 cm | Interactive ride with game controls |
| Junior Grand Prix | 110-140 cm | Scaled-down Ferrari cars on a track |
| Driving with the Champion | 107 cm | Motion simulator on the Fiorano circuit |
| Flying Wings and Turbo Tower | 105 cm | Mini versions of Flying Aces and Turbo Track |
| Speed of Magic, Viaggio in Italia, Nello's Adventureland | 100 cm | 4D ride, flying theatre and soft play |
| Formula Rossa Junior | 90 cm | A mini coaster on the Formula Rossa track at up to 45 km/h |
Heights are from the park's official ride pages and can change. Rides close for maintenance from time to time.
One practical point: at the last check of the park's ride-updates page, on 29 October 2026, Formula Rossa was listed as closed for maintenance, with no reopening date. If one coaster is the reason you are going, look at that page the day you buy and again the day before you travel.
Tickets and extras
A single-day ticket gives unlimited rides for the day. The online price is fixed at about AED 345, while the ticket counters charge AED 360-380, depending on the season. The park advertises savings of up to 10% for buying online and in advance, and a combined ticket for two Yas parks in one day, so check what is on offer when you book.
| Item | Price or rule |
|---|---|
| Adult one-day ticket, online | About AED 345 |
| At the ticket counters | AED 360-380 by season |
| Children under 3 | Free, with an adult; ID may be asked |
| Children under 1.1 m | Pay a junior price based on height |
| Parking | Free in the Grand Prix car park at Yas Mall; valet extra |
| Locker | About AED 35 |
| Stroller hire | From about AED 40 |
| Quick Pass | Extra charge for shorter queues on selected rides |
| Refunds and date changes | Rules are on the official site; read them before you pay |
Prices from the official site; check them before you buy, as they change by season.
Food and drinks are extra, and an Italian restaurant, Gran Tour Emilia, is open to guests without a park ticket. Bring a small bag, because loose items go in a locker before the fast rides. For one adult, a realistic day is the ticket plus a locker and a meal, roughly AED 450-500 before extras such as Quick Pass.
Getting there from Dubai
Yas Island is about 1-1.5 hours from most of Dubai by road, though the park quotes about 50 minutes. The easiest way for ticket holders is the free Yas Express shuttle bus, which runs from Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah to Yas Island: show your e-ticket and be at the stop five minutes early, and remember that times are approximate because of traffic. Get the current timetable from the official site, because routes and stops change.
By car, parking is free at the Grand Prix car park at Yas Mall with proof of entry. A taxi is expensive over this distance, so agree the price first, or choose the shuttle. Our how to get from Dubai to Abu Dhabi guide compares the options, and the Yas Island guide explains what fits into a day trip.
How long to allow and how to plan the day
Allow 6-8 hours. Arrive at opening, because the queues for Formula Rossa and Flying Aces are shortest in the first hour, and ride the big coasters first, then the family rides, then a long break. Weekends and school holidays are busiest, so a weekday is better if you can choose. If the queues for one ride look long, check the Quick Pass option on the official site before you pay.
Wear closed shoes and light clothes, and bring a light layer: the park is cool. You can keep a phone in a pocket on the family rides, but fast coasters need loose items in a locker. Opening hours vary by day, so check the day's hours on the official site.
Families and who should skip it
Good for teenagers, couples who love thrill rides and families whose children are over 1.2 m. For younger children there are rides from 90 cm, 100 cm and 105 cm, and a soft play area, but you will pay a full price for a day with a limited ride list, so SeaWorld may suit them better. Our Abu Dhabi day trip with kids guide covers the 9-hour day and what to expect.
Skip it if you or your group dislike speed and heights: the signature rides are intense, and there is less to do for non-riders than at a park with shows or water. People with heart, back or neck problems and pregnant guests should read the safety rules for each ride and ask staff before queuing.
If you are choosing between Yas parks, see Ferrari World vs Warner Bros World and the Warner Bros World guide.
Our Abu Dhabi tour and Ferrari World
Our tour does not include rides. The Abu Dhabi city tour is from $45 per person, 9 hours, with an 8:00 AM hotel pickup in Dubai, Sharjah or Ajman, and the shared price covers the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque with registration help, the BAPS Mandir and Heritage Village. It passes Yas Island with a Ferrari World photo op and a lunch stop at Yas Mall, then ends with a stop at the Dates Market before the drive back. A private car for up to 7 guests with a flexible schedule is $245.
If the rides are the point of your day, go independently with a ticket and the free shuttle, and do the mosque on another day. If you want a first look at the capital and a photo of the red roof, the tour is easier and you pay on the day with no prepayment. Our tour vs on your own guide compares the two.
Dubai has its own speed on offer too. The evening quad bike safari is from $70 per person for a 60-minute self-drive ride on a quad shared by two guests, and the jet ski to the Burj Al Arab is from $79 per jet ski for 30 minutes, with a licensed instructor in front and photos included.
