November is when Dubai's weather turns ideal. Afternoons are about 28-33°C, nights 18-23°C and the sea 25-28°C, with sunset at about 5:30 PM, so the desert, the beach and the balloon all work. Crowds and hotel prices rise towards December. This month brings Diwali on 8 November, the Dubai Fitness Challenge and Global Village, and the sunrise balloon, $275, sells out one to two weeks ahead. Below: weather, dated events, crowds and what to book first.

Five things November is made for
#1
Sunrise over the desert
A 40-70 minute flight at first light, then breakfast at a Bedouin camp, a camel ride and a falcon photo. Sunrise is about 6:30-6:50 AM in November and the baskets sell out one to two weeks ahead, so this is the booking to make first. The flight is $275 per person, with a 30% deposit.
#2
A desert evening
Sunset is about 5:30 PM, so the dune bashing, sandboarding and camel ride finish early and the BBQ dinner and shows run in cool air. The full-day safari is from $45 per person, or $65 with the 30-minute quad bike ride, and needs no prepayment: you pay on the day.
#3
Abu Dhabi in comfortable weather
The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the BAPS Mandir, the Corniche and Heritage Village are mostly walking, which is why a cooler month helps. The shared tour is from $45 with a licensed guide and mosque registration help; a private car for up to 7 people is $245. No prepayment is needed.
#4
Global Village and Miracle Garden
Both are open for the whole month. Global Village opens at 4 PM, with a Monday-to-Thursday ticket at AED 25 and an any-day ticket at AED 30; Tuesdays are kept for ladies and families. Miracle Garden changes its theme every week this season, with adult tickets at about AED 100 before VAT.
#5
The sea and the Marina
The sea is a little cooler than in October, and a sunset slot comes early, at about 5:30 PM. Our shared 1-hour yacht cruise leaves the Marina pier hourly from $32 per person, with a photo stop at the giant wheel on Bluewaters. Full pre-payment secures your slot.
Dubai in November: the short answer
November is the first month of the Dubai winter season, and the first month when everything works. Afternoons are about 28-33°C, nights 18-23°C and the sea 25-28°C, and the humidity of the summer is gone. Sunset comes early, at about 5:30 PM, so the evening is long. The sunrise balloon, the desert, the Marina and the Abu Dhabi day all run in comfortable air.
The catch is timing, not weather. The first three weeks are the calmer part of the season, and hotel rates usually rise as December nears. The last days of the month lead into Commemoration Day on 30 November, National Day on 2-3 December and the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, and from then the city is busy. If you can choose the dates, go in the first three weeks and book the sunrise balloon first: at $275 per person it sells out one to two weeks ahead, and the winter rush starts in November. Best time to visit Dubai month by month shows how November sits against the other months.
November weather and daylight
These are typical city values for the month. The first days are a little warmer and the last days a little cooler.
| Typical November | What it means | |
|---|---|---|
| Afternoon high | About 28-33°C | Warm, not hot: sightseeing works all day, with sunscreen |
| Night low | About 18-23°C | Mild evenings; the last week is the coolest |
| Sea | About 25-28°C | Swimmable, a little cooler than October |
| Sunrise | About 6:30-6:50 AM | Balloon pickup is before dawn |
| Sunset | About 5:35-5:25 PM | Dark by about 6 PM, so outdoor plans start early |
| Daylight | About 11 hours | Shorter than October, much shorter than June |
| Rain | Rare | Plan outdoor days and dawn flights with confidence |
Typical values, not a forecast; check the weather for your dates.
Because the sun sets early, outdoor plans work best in the afternoon: Global Village opens at 4 PM, and the desert, a Marina cruise and the beach all fit before dark. Evenings are mild, and later in the month a light layer is welcome on a yacht deck or at the desert camp; December is when the camp really needs a jacket. The midday sun is still strong, so sunscreen and a hat stay on the list.
What is on in November, date by date
These are the events reported as of 29 October 2026. Dates and venues can change, so confirm each one on its official page. What's on in Dubai in November keeps the full list.

| 5-8 November | UNTOLD festival | At Dubai Parks and Resorts; four days, six stages, more than 100 artists; line-up not announced by 28 October |
| 7-8 November | Dubai Stand-Up Paddle | At Hatta Dam |

| Sunday 29 November | Dubai Yoga | Closes the Fitness Challenge |
| 30 November | Commemoration Day | Sources disagree on whether it is a day off |
Diwali changes a visitor's plans most. Gulf News reports that the official programme runs citywide from 2 to 12 November, with a five-day calendar from Dhanteras on 6 November to Bhai Dooj on 10 November. Private fireworks are illegal; official displays in recent years were at Al Seef and Global Village. Temples are crowded around Lakshmi Puja, and the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi holds Diwali programmes, so check its schedule if your Abu Dhabi day falls around then. Diwali 2026 in Dubai has the detail, and Dubai Fitness Challenge for visitors covers the free sports days.
Crowds and prices: early against late November
November is not one crowd level. The first three weeks are the quieter, cheaper part of the winter season. Events add local crowds on certain days: Dubai Run on 22 November, Diwali on 8 November and weekend evenings at Global Village.
The end of the month is different. Commemoration Day falls on 30 November and National Day on 2 and 3 December, according to the UAE Government holiday list, with no change announced as of 28 October. The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix follows in early December: sources give 3-6, 4-6 or 4-7 December, so confirm on the official site. The Dubai Shopping Festival starts on 4 December. If your trip straddles 30 November, expect fuller hotels and busier roads, and book timed things early: the Burj Khalifa sunset slot in November is about 4:30 PM, and tickets are from $55 and cannot be changed once issued (best time to visit Burj Khalifa).
What to book in November, and how
The sunrise balloon is the November booking to make first. It is $275 per person for 4-5 hours door to door: a pre-dawn pickup from your hotel anywhere in Dubai city, a 40-70 minute flight with GCAA-licensed pilots over the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, then breakfast at a Bedouin camp, a camel ride and a falcon photo. A 30% deposit confirms it. The desert is cool at dawn, about 17-22°C in the city and a few degrees cooler on the sand, so wear layers and closed shoes.
Flights depend on the wind. If one is cancelled you get a full refund or a new date, which is why we suggest flying early in your trip. It is not suitable for pregnant women, children under 7, guests over 80, or anyone with serious heart or back problems. Balloon season and weather explains the odds month by month.
| Tour | Why November suits it | From | How it is booked |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sunrise balloon | Cool mornings, and the winter rush begins | $275 | 30% deposit; sells out one to two weeks ahead |
| Full-day desert safari | Early sunset, so dinner and shows run in cool air | $45 ($65 with quad bike) | No prepayment; pay on the day |
| Abu Dhabi city tour | Comfortable for the Grand Mosque walk; 8:00 AM pickup | $45 shared; $245 private car | No prepayment; pay on the day |
| Old Dubai walking tour | Pleasant for 3-4 hours on foot | $35 ($55 with tastings) | Full prepayment; free cancellation up to 24 hours before |
| Shared Marina yacht hour | A sunset slot on a mild sea | $32 | Full pre-payment secures the slot |
On the ground, the full-day desert safari is 7 hours with hotel pickup in Dubai, Sharjah or Ajman, 30-45 minutes of dune bashing on the Lahbab Red Dunes and a BBQ dinner with shows at the camp. The Abu Dhabi city tour takes 9 hours and covers the Grand Mosque, the BAPS Mandir, the Corniche and Heritage Village; modest dress is mandatory at the mosque and the temple. The Old Dubai walk is mostly outdoors, which is why November suits it.
Etihad Rail's Dubai to Abu Dhabi train has run since 30 September 2026, in about an hour from AED 39 for Comfort class booked online. Its stations, Al Yalayis in Jumeirah Golf Estates and Mohammed Bin Zayed City, are not in either city centre, so you still need a taxi at each end. A November week in the order that works
A few rules of thumb for putting these together:
- Balloon on your first or second morning, so a windy dawn can move to a later day instead of being lost.
- Desert safari on an afternoon after a rest day; it needs no prepayment, so it can move if the plan changes.
- Abu Dhabi on a full day with no event in Dubai, and not on Diwali day if you want the BAPS Mandir quiet.
- Global Village on a weekday evening, Monday to Thursday for the lower ticket; groups of men should avoid Tuesdays.
- A sunset on the water or at the top of the tower: book the slot a few days ahead, because both are paid in advance.
Not everything is ideal in November. The sea is cooler than in October, camp evenings need a light layer by the end of the month, the Museum of the Future is temporarily closed with reopening reported for the first quarter of 2027, and the first week of December is busier than the last week of November.
