Quad biking in Dubai on our Evening Quad Bike Desert Safari costs from $70 per person for a full hour on a quad shared by two guests, or $105 for your own quad. The hour is self-drive on the Lahbab Red Dunes, behind a guide, inside a 6-7 hour evening with hotel pickup, sandboarding, a camel ride, a BBQ buffet and a fire show. You need basic driving skills, not quad experience; solo riders are 16-55 and under-16s share a bike with an adult. The full-day safari has a 30-minute quad only in its $65 option.

Tour on this route: Evening Quad Bike Desert Safari — From $70 per person, 6-7 hours.
How much does quad biking cost in Dubai?
From $70 per person for a full 60 minutes on a quad shared by two guests (at least 2 guests per booking), or $105 for your own quad. Both prices cover the whole 6-7 hour evening safari: hotel pickup, sandboarding, a camel ride, a BBQ buffet and a fire show at Al Khayma camp. You pay on the day.

Two ways to ride, and what the evening adds
#1
Shared quad: $70 per person
Two guests share one quad for the full 60 minutes on the Lahbab Red Dunes, which is why the price is $70 each. The evening around it is the same as with the other option: pickup, sandboarding, camel ride, BBQ and fire show. At least 2 guests are needed per booking, so this is not the option for a solo traveller.
#2
Your own quad: $105 per person
The same hour, the same dunes and the same camp evening, but the bike is yours from the first minute to the last. It is the option for solo travellers, and for two guests who both want to drive: a quad each costs $210 for the pair, against $140 for one bike shared between them.
#3
The hour itself: helmet, briefing, guide in front
No quad experience is needed. You are given a helmet and riding instructions before the start, then follow the guide across the open red dunes for a full hour. You do need basic driving skills, and the ride is at your own risk, with an indemnity form to sign beforehand.
#4
After the quad: sandboarding, camel and sunset
When the quad hour ends you try sandboarding and stop for sunset photos, then reach Al Khayma camp for Arabic coffee and dates, a short camel ride, falcon photos and henna for women. Under-12s ride the camel only with an adult, and camels are not advised over 60 or with back problems.
#5
The camp evening: BBQ and the fire show
A live BBQ buffet with vegetarian and non-veg dishes and unlimited water and soft drinks, then the shows, headlined by a fire show with traditional dance, before the drive back to your hotel. Alcoholic drinks are not included, and in Ramadan and on UAE dry days the shows may be limited.
Quad biking in Dubai: price and what is in it
From $70 per person for a full hour on a quad shared by two guests, or $105 for a quad of your own. That is the price of the whole evening, not of the quad alone: the hour of self-drive on the Lahbab Red Dunes is the centre of the Evening Quad Bike Desert Safari, a 6-7 hour trip with hotel pickup and drop-off in Dubai in a shared air-conditioned vehicle.
Around the quad you get a helmet and riding instructions, a safari guide, sandboarding, a short camel ride, Arabic coffee and dates, falcon photos, henna for women, a live BBQ buffet with vegetarian and non-veg dishes, unlimited water and soft drinks, and a fire show with traditional dance at Al Khayma camp.
Two things are not in either price. There is no 4x4 dune bashing on this evening: the quad is the adventure. And alcoholic drinks, tips, photo prints and souvenirs are not included. If dune bashing matters to you, the Full-Day Desert Safari is built around it and includes a 30-minute quad only in its $65 option; the evening quad safari vs full-day desert safari guide puts the two side by side.
| Option | Price per person | Time on the quad | The bike |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shared quad | $70 | A full 60 minutes | One bike for two guests; at least 2 guests per booking |
| Your own quad | $105 | A full 60 minutes | One quad each; the option for solo travellers |
The evening is the same at both prices: 6-7 hours, hotel pickup in Dubai, sandboarding, a camel ride, the BBQ buffet and the fire show. 4x4 dune bashing is not included in either.
Prices are per person and nothing is paid upfront: you agree the date on WhatsApp and pay on the day of the tour.
Shared or your own quad: who should pay $105
The gap between $70 and $105 buys the bike, not the evening. At $70 two guests share one quad for the hour; at $105 each rider has a quad to themselves. Everything else, from the dunes to the dinner, is the same. Here is how it sorts out for different groups.
- Solo travellers: your own quad at $105. The $70 option is one bike for two guests and needs at least 2 guests per booking.
- Anyone who wants the handlebars to themselves: the same $105. If you came to drive for the whole hour, a shared bike means sharing that hour.
- Two guests who both want to drive: $105 each, $210 for the pair, a quad each for the hour. One shared bike is $140 for the pair, so the extra $70 buys the second quad.
- A couple happy to share: $70 each, $140 for the pair, one bike between you for a full hour on the dunes.
- Parent and child: under-16s ride only on a bike shared with an adult, so the shared bike is the set-up for them. The minimum age is 10 to 14 depending on the session, so tell us the child's age and the date when you ask.
- Four friends: $280 for the four on two shared bikes ($70 each, two guests to a bike), or $420 for the four on a quad each ($105 each).
If the real question is whether you want to drive at all, or would rather be driven through the dunes in a 4x4, that is a different choice, and the quad bike safari or full-day desert safari guide answers it.
What the hour is like, from pickup to the last turn
A shared air-conditioned vehicle collects you at your hotel in Dubai in the afternoon, and the drive to the Lahbab Red Dunes takes about 45-60 minutes. The Lahbab Red Dunes guide describes the place itself.
Before you start, you get a helmet and riding instructions. Then you drive your quad behind the guide for a full 60 minutes on the open red dunes, two guests to a bike or one each on the single-quad option. You follow the guide, so there is no route to find. No quad experience is needed: the instructions come first, and what you need is basic driving skills.
- Afternoon pickup: usually about 1:15-2 pm, about an hour later in summer, with the exact time confirmed in advance.
- Helmet and riding instructions at the dunes.
- The quad hour: 60 minutes behind the guide.
- Sandboarding and sunset photos as the sun goes down over the desert.
- Al Khayma camp: Arabic coffee and dates, a short camel ride, henna for women, falcon photos and the shisha area.
- BBQ dinner and live shows, then the drive back to your hotel.
That order is worth knowing when you plan the day. The quad hour, sandboarding and sunset photos happen in daylight, the camp takes over after dark, and the vehicle brings you to your hotel about 6-7 hours after it collected you.
Who can ride: age limits, health and licence
You need basic driving skills; no quad experience is needed. The age rules are the part to check before you book.
- Riding solo: 16 to 55 years old.
- Under 16: only on a bike shared with an adult. The minimum age is 10 to 14 depending on the session, and we confirm it when you book.
- Over 55: please check with us before booking. Send your age and any health points on WhatsApp.
- Licence: the tour page lists no driving-licence requirement, only basic driving skills, the age rules and the indemnity form. If you want it confirmed for your group, ask us on WhatsApp.
- Not recommended: pregnancy, back or heart problems, infants under 3 and wheelchair users.
- The camel ride, same evening: under-12s ride camels only with an adult, and camels are not advised over 60 or with back problems.
Families with younger children should also read the desert safari with kids guide. It covers the full-day safari, so for the quad ages on this evening use the ones above.
Safety and the small print
You get a helmet and riding instructions and you ride behind the guide, but the ride is self-drive at your own risk. Every rider signs an indemnity form, and the rider pays for any damage to the quad. Travel insurance is recommended. Follow the guide's instructions throughout; they are the safety rule.
The rest of the small print is short:
- Large bags are not allowed on the safari.
- In unsafe weather the safari is moved or cancelled at no cost to you.
- In Ramadan and on UAE dry days the shows may be limited.
- Not included: alcoholic drinks, 4x4 dune bashing, dune buggies, tips, photo prints and souvenirs.
If you were wondering about a dune buggy instead of a quad, the quad bike or dune buggy guide compares the two; buggies are not part of this evening.
What to wear and bring
Wear comfortable clothes you do not mind filling with red sand, and closed shoes. The helmet is provided.
- Wear: closed shoes and comfortable clothes for the ride.
- Bring: sunglasses, a sun hat, high-SPF sunscreen and a phone bag against the sand.
- In winter: a light jacket for the evening at the camp, between December and February, because the desert cools fast after sunset.
- Cash or card: for tips and anything beyond the programme.
- Leave behind: large bags, which are not allowed.
The full what to wear on a desert safari guide goes through the seasons and the shoes in more detail.
Best months, pickup time and summer
October to April is the comfortable season on the dunes, with cool evenings at the camp. The programme still runs in summer: the pickup moves about an hour later and the camp part comes after dark, but the afternoon on the sand is hot, so bring a hat and more water than you think.
The pickup is usually about 1:15-2 pm, which puts the quad hour in daylight on the red dunes. The best time for a desert safari month by month guide has the detail.
How to book: no prepayment, free cancellation
Book on WhatsApp with the date, your hotel, the number of guests and their ages, and whether you want the shared quad ($70) or your own ($105). There is no prepayment: you pay on the day of the tour, and you can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before pickup. The pickup time is confirmed in advance.
Pickup is at hotels in Dubai; Jebel Ali and desert resorts cost extra, so tell us where you are staying. The Evening Quad Bike Desert Safari page has the full details and the WhatsApp booking button.
