How to plan a visit to the tournament
#1
The stadium and the two weeks of tennis
The tournament site describes a 5,000-seat Centre Court inside a self-contained tennis centre, with a Tennis Village on the east side. The women play first, from 14 February, and the men follow from 22 February. The 2027 edition is the 27th year of the women's event and the 35th year of the men's, according to the organisers.
#2
By Metro: GGICO station
The tournament's travel page says the stadium is a five-minute walk from GGICO Metro station. That avoids event parking. Load your Nol card before you go. We have not seen the Metro hours for February, so check the RTA announcements if you plan to leave after the 7 PM session.
#3
By taxi or ride-hailing
The travel page lists RTA taxis, Uber and Careem as options. If you drive, a complimentary Park N' Ride service is offered to ticket holders throughout the Championships and begins one hour before match times, according to the same page. Plan your return before you leave your seat.
#4
Old Dubai on the day of a night session
Our Old Dubai walking tour is a morning plan for a night-session day. It takes 3 to 4 hours through Al Fahidi, Al Seef, an abra ride and the Spice and Gold Souks, from $35 per person. Meet the guide in Al Fahidi near Sharaf DG Metro, and leave time to rest before the evening.
#5
Burj Khalifa on a free day
Between the two weeks there is room for a day without tennis. Our Burj Khalifa ticket is from $55 per person for Levels 124 and 125, with timed entry, and the best light is about an hour before sunset. It is a ticket and not a guided tour, so you make your own way to The Dubai Mall.
Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships 2027: the short answer
The tournament runs from 14 to 27 February 2027 at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium in Garhoud, according to the official tournament site. It is two tournaments in sequence. The women's event, a WTA 1000, comes first and the men's event, an ATP 500, follows. The tournament says it has been held since 1993 for men and since 2001 for women.
As of 2 November 2026, the official ticket page says only that ticket information will be available soon. We therefore have no 2027 prices to give you. For the previous edition the organisers put tickets on sale on 8 October, with prices from AED 65 to AED 990, so expect a similar range, but check the official site. The stadium is a five-minute walk from GGICO Metro station.
The schedule: which days are the WTA and the ATP
The official schedule page lists these days and times. It also says that the timings are tentative and subject to change.
| Stage | Dates | Session times |
|---|---|---|
| WTA qualifying | Friday 12 and Saturday 13 February | 10:00 AM |
| WTA first round | Sunday 14 and Monday 15 February | 11 AM and 7 PM |
| WTA second and third rounds | Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 February | 11 AM and 7 PM |
| WTA quarter-finals | Thursday 18 February | 2 PM and 7 PM |
| WTA semi-finals | Friday 19 February | 1:30 PM and 7 PM |
| WTA finals | Saturday 20 February | 4:30 PM and 7 PM |
| ATP qualifying | Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 February | 11:00 AM |
| ATP first round | Monday 22 and Tuesday 23 February | 2 PM and 7 PM |
| ATP second round | Wednesday 24 February | 2 PM and 7 PM |
| ATP quarter-finals | Thursday 25 February | 2 PM and 7 PM |
| ATP semi-finals and final | 26 and 27 February | Semi-finals 1:30 PM and 7 PM; final 4:30 PM and 7 PM |
As of 2 November 2026. The official page labels the ATP semi-finals Thursday 26 February and the final Friday 27 February, but in 2027 those dates are a Friday and a Saturday, so check the order of play.
Each main-draw day has two sessions, one in the day and one at 7 PM, so you can see a full day of tennis on one ticket or choose a single session. We have no published player lists for 2027, so the entry lists will decide which days are the best to attend. For reference, Jessica Pegula and Daniil Medvedev won the singles titles in 2026, according to the tournament site.
Tickets: what is known and what is not
For 2027 the ticket pages on the official site, including the ATP and WTA tickets pages, say that information will be available soon. When we checked, there was no on-sale date, no price list and no children's policy for 2027. Visit Dubai lists tickets from AED 65 to AED 990 for the tournament, which matches last year's range, but it does not say which edition.
- Last year's range: from AED 65 to AED 990, according to the organisers.
- Early bird last year: 20% off tickets for the first three days of the tournament, which the organisers said made the top women's players from AED 52 a day. A similar offer may or may not return.
- Where to buy last year: the official tournament site and Ticketmaster. Buy from the official channels only, because resale listings elsewhere are where fake tickets turn up. Our guide to common tourist scams covers fake ticket sellers.
- Side courts: Courts 1 and 2 were free to enter with registration last year. We have not seen the 2027 rule.
Prices in dollars are about AED 3.67 to $1 at the usual rate. The lowest price is therefore about $18 and the top price about $270.
The venue and what to do besides matches
The stadium has a 5,000-seat Centre Court and sits in the grounds of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Centre in Garhoud. The Tennis Village on the east side has sponsor stands and activities, and the venue page names the Irish Village and Century Village for dining. Last year's tournament guide also mentioned a Dubai Duty Free shop, sponsor games with mascots for children, and a players' walkway where fans can often spot players after a match.
The official pages do not give opening hours, bag rules or a camera policy. On-court action on Centre Court was described last year as running from early morning until late evening. Plan a full session, and check the ticket terms for the day you buy.
Getting to the stadium
The easiest route is the Metro to GGICO station and a five-minute walk. Our Dubai Metro guide shows the lines and fares, and our Nol card guide explains how to pay. The tournament's travel page also lists taxis, Uber and Careem, and a free Park N' Ride for ticket holders that starts one hour before match times. For fares and how the apps work, see our taxi and Careem guide.
If you plan to stay near the stadium, the Dubai Festival City guide covers hotels near the airport and the Creek.
Ramadan: the tournament falls inside it
Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin on Monday 8 February, subject to moon sighting, so both weeks of the tournament are expected to fall inside it. Our Ramadan 2027 guide has the dates, and our Ramadan guide for tourists explains what changes in the daytime, including eating and drinking in public. The published session times are 11 AM or 2 PM and again at 7 PM, but check the order of play. Our February guide covers weather and events for the month.
Fitting the tennis around the rest of your day
A match session is long, so plan one big thing around it, not three. If your ticket is for a 7 PM session, the morning is free for our Old Dubai walking tour, which takes 3 to 4 hours. If you have a day session, a late-afternoon Burj Khalifa visit is from $55. The full-day desert safari, from $45 per person, takes about 7 hours with hotel pickup and an evening camp, so give it a day without tennis.
