Afternoon tea in Dubai: the short answer

Afternoon tea in Dubai costs from AED 120 per person at Albayt in Palace Downtown, AED 195 at Raffles Dubai and AED 250 at Address Sky View. At the fixed rate of AED 3.6725 to the dollar, those prices are about $33, $53 and $68. Hotels serve afternoon tea daily, mostly from 2 PM or 3 PM until 6 PM, 7 PM or 8 PM.

We read the hotels' own pages on 2 November 2026 and list only what they state. Prices and offers change, so check before you go. One famous name is missing for a reason: the Burj Al Arab is closed for restoration until about October 2027, so its tea is not available now. Our Burj Al Arab visit guide has the current status.

What you get for the price

Each venue serves a set of savoury and sweet items with tea. Only Raffles lists the contents on its page: sandwiches, warm scones with clotted cream and pastries, with TWG teas. The other pages describe the set in general terms, so ask what is on the tray when you book.

The price basis differs. Address Beach Resort sells the tea per couple, which works out to AED 124 each, close to Albayt's AED 120. Raffles also offers a TWG tea cocktail as a modern twist, with no price stated. As with all alcohol in Dubai, you must be 21 or older to drink it; our alcohol laws guide has the rules.

Choosing by price, view or family

Pick the one thing that matters most, and the shortlist follows:

  • Lowest price: Albayt at AED 120 per person.
  • Two people sharing: The Lounge at Address Beach Resort at AED 248 per couple.
  • Children: Raffles lists AED 75 per child under 12. Ask other hotels for a child price before you book.
  • A Burj Khalifa view: Address Sky View names the view in the offer title and serves until 8 PM, which suits a late tea.
  • Live music: Address Creek Harbour lists a live grand piano with its tea.
  • Tea with a spa: Raffles lists a version with a 60-minute massage at AED 450 per person.

Booking, dress code and timing

Book ahead, especially at weekends and on public holidays. Address Creek Harbour's page says a reservation 24 hours ahead is required, and Albayt takes bookings through SevenRooms. At the other hotels, call, use the hotel's booking tool or send an email.

Dress codes are stated for only some venues. Address Beach Resort's lounge lists casual before sunset and resort chic after sunset, and the Address Creek Harbour restaurant lists smart casual. The Raffles, Albayt and Address Sky View pages state no code. Smart casual is the safe choice in a hotel lounge, and the dress code guide explains it.

A local alternative, and other ways to spend the afternoon

Hotel tea is a British custom served in a Dubai setting. For a local taste, try karak chai or Arabic coffee, which cost much less than a hotel tea. See karak chai and Arabic coffee in Dubai and Arabic desserts in Dubai. Our Old Dubai walking tour, from $35, includes Arabic coffee or tea and dates, and it passes the old souks.

If you want a Downtown view without a table, a Burj Khalifa ticket is from $55 per person, and the SKY ticket, from $115, includes a lounge, a host and drinks on Level 148. For dinner views, dining with a view in Dubai compares the terraces, and best rooftop bars in Dubai covers the evening.
