Dubai Miracle Garden is open usually from October to May, with entry from about AED 100 for adults and AED 80 for children, and children under 3 free. Allow 2-3 hours, go in the morning or after 4 PM, and take a taxi (25-35 minutes from Downtown or the Marina) or the Red Line to Mall of the Emirates plus a short taxi. This guide covers the season, what you see, tickets, the Butterfly Garden next door, how to add Global Village and a desert safari, and when to skip it.

Five ways to build a day around the garden
#1
Dubai Butterfly Garden next door
The Butterfly Garden shares the Miracle Garden complex and sells its own ticket, or a combined one from about AED 140. The entrance has white geodesic domes and a rainbow floral butterfly sculpture, and inside the domes the butterflies fly freely. It suits an hour after the flowers, particularly with children, when the sun is highest. Our guide covers it in more detail.
#2
Global Village in the evening
The two seasonal attractions are 15-20 minutes apart by taxi, roughly AED 30-40, and their hours complement each other: the garden is a daytime place and Global Village comes alive after dark. Do the flowers from mid-morning for 2-3 hours, have lunch, then go for the golden hour, the pavilions and dinner. Our Global Village guide covers the season and the best nights.
#3
IMG Worlds if it is too hot for flowers
At the edges of the season, when the garden is hot by late morning, a fully air-conditioned theme park is the fallback. IMG Worlds of Adventure is under one dome and works in any weather, though it is a full day and a different budget. It is a swap, not an add-on: you will not fit both into one day.
#4
Dubai Safari Park: the other seasonal day
The safari park runs on much the same October-to-May calendar as the garden, so the two fit one winter trip. They are on opposite sides of the city, so keep them on separate days, each in the cooler hours. The park suits children from toddler age; our guide has the zones, the ticket options and the best hour.
#5
A desert evening the same day
The garden fits a morning, and our full-day desert safari, from $45 per person, runs through sunset into the evening, so the two sit in one day with a rest between. We confirm the pickup time on WhatsApp when we agree the date. You pay on the day with no prepayment, and the hotel pickup saves a second taxi.
Dubai Miracle Garden: the short answer
Dubai Miracle Garden is open usually from October to May and closed in the summer heat. General entry is from about AED 100 for adults and about AED 80 for children, with children under 3 free; a combined ticket with the Butterfly Garden next door is about AED 140. UAE residents pay less. Prices and dates change each season, so check the official site before you book.
Allow 2-3 hours, go in the softer light before 11 AM or after 4 PM, and avoid weekends and holidays if you can. It is about 25-35 minutes by taxi from Downtown or the Marina, around AED 60-90 each way, or by the Red Line to Mall of the Emirates plus a 10-15 minute taxi.
What you see
Miracle Garden is a flower park: millions of blooms planted in walls, arches, tunnels and sculpted shapes, with the signature Emirates A380 aircraft covered in flowers as the photograph everybody takes. Heart-shaped arches, striped beds and walk-through tunnels fill the paths between, and it is as much a photo set as a garden.
It suits couples, families with children and anyone who likes colour, and it is a good first-trip choice because nothing in it needs a booking beyond the ticket. It is not a botanical garden for plant experts, and there are few rides or shows, so the draw is the visual spectacle.
When to go: month and time of day
The season opens usually in October or November and closes in May, with exact dates announced each year, so check this season's dates before you plan a day around it. November to March is the safest window: mild air, fresh beds and comfortable paths. Plants and visitors both cope less well as April and May warm up, so go in the morning at the end of the season.
| When | Light and weather | Crowds | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|
| Weekday morning, to 11 AM | Soft light, cool air, good for photos | Quiet | The best slot |
| Midday | Strong sun; shade is thin even in winter | Moderate | Skip or keep it short |
| After 4 PM | Golden light, cooler air | Growing toward evening | A good second slot |
| Weekends and holidays | Same weather, more people | The busiest of the week | Expect queues at the photo spots |
| April and May | Warm by mid-morning; plants tire as the heat builds | Thinner | Go at opening or skip |
Opening and closing hours differ by day and season; check the official site.
Our month-by-month guide to Dubai shows how the weather moves through the season, and Dubai in December covers the busy middle of it.
Tickets, hours and how long
A one-day adult ticket is from about AED 100, children from about AED 80 and children under 3 are free. Residents with an Emirates ID pay less, and there is a combination with the Butterfly Garden from about AED 140. The garden usually opens around 9 AM and stays open into the evening, with later hours at weekends, but hours change, so check the day before.
Allow 2-3 hours for the flowers alone, plus about an hour if you add the Butterfly Garden. Bring a hat, sunscreen and water, wear comfortable shoes and take a pushchair for small children. Be respectful of the beds: stay on the paths, and do not pick flowers or climb on the displays.
What to wear and bring, and how to photograph it
Wear comfortable walking shoes, light clothes and a hat, and carry sunscreen and a bottle of water, because the paths are long and shade is thin. From December to February a light layer helps once the sun goes down. Ordinary summer clothes are fine; there is no special dress code beyond the usual respect for a public place.
For photographs, go straight to the aircraft and the heart-shaped arches at opening, when the lines are short and the light is soft, then come back for the rest of the paths. A phone is enough; a power bank is useful because you will take far more pictures than you expect. Expect to buy drinks and snacks inside at higher prices than outside, so carry water and a snack for children.
With toddlers, a pushchair makes the 2-3 hours easier, and a stop in the Butterfly Garden gives everyone a change of pace. Babies and very young children are easiest on a weekday morning, before the queues at the photo spots build.
Getting there
Miracle Garden is in the Dubailand area, inland and away from the coast. A metered taxi or a Careem from Downtown or the Marina takes about 25-35 minutes for around AED 60-90 each way, and the apps have the entrance pinned.
The cheaper option is the Red Line to Mall of the Emirates, then a taxi of 10-15 minutes for roughly AED 25-35. In season the RTA also runs a Miracle Garden bus from Mall of the Emirates; check the S'hail app for the route and the times. The full comparison is in Dubai to Global Village and Miracle Garden, and our Metro guide explains the Red Line.
Combining it with the Butterfly Garden, Global Village and a safari
The Butterfly Garden is the natural add-on, because it shares the complex. For the evening, Global Village is about 15-20 minutes away, and our comparison, Global Village or Miracle Garden, helps if you only have one evening.
For a day that runs from flowers to dunes, the full-day desert safari is from $45 per person, with hotel pickup in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman in an air-conditioned 4x4. It includes dune bashing, sandboarding, a camel ride, a BBQ buffet and a fire show, and you pay on the day. It runs through sunset into the evening, so the morning is free for the garden, and we confirm the pickup time when we agree the date on WhatsApp.
For a city view the same week, the Burj Khalifa ticket is from $55 per person and the shared Marina yacht is from $32, both easy to fit around a garden morning.
Is it worth it, and who should skip it
Go if you are in Dubai between November and March and want a colourful half-day, if you have children, or if you like photography. It is easy, it costs less than most major attractions, and it works as a break from a busy sightseeing trip.
Skip it if you are visiting from June to September (it is closed), if you dislike crowds at weekends, or if you are short of time and have to choose: with a short trip, the Burj Khalifa, the desert and the Old Dubai souks give more for the hours.
