Dubai Crocodile Park

An outdoor habitat of lakes, waterfalls, islands and sandbanks where Nile crocodiles up to 5 m long can be seen from several viewpoints, plus an underwater aquarium and a museum on crocodile evolution. It is open from 10 AM to 8 PM, with adults at AED 95 and children aged 3 to 11 at AED 75.

Dubai Safari Park #2
Al Warqa, east Dubai A longer day with many animals

Dubai Safari Park

An open-air animal park, open roughly October to May, from about AED 50 for adults and AED 20 for children aged 3 to 12, with under-threes free. It has six themed zones, a shuttle train and a guided safari ride of about 35 minutes. It needs three to four hours, so plan a half day.

The Green Planet #3
City Walk Animals in air-conditioned comfort

The Green Planet

A four-storey indoor rainforest with sloths, birds and reptiles. It is open daily from 10 AM to 6 PM, and you should allow 2 to 3 hours. Adult tickets are roughly AED 150 to 175. Because it is indoors and air-conditioned, it is the better choice on a hot afternoon or a day with rain.

Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo #4
The Dubai Mall Sharks and rays with no outdoor walking

Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo

The big viewing panel in The Dubai Mall is free to watch from the mall floor. A standard ticket is from about AED 150, and the paid route takes 1.5 to 2 hours and opens at 10 AM. It is the easiest animal stop to combine with shopping or the Burj Khalifa, because it is inside the mall.

Ras Al Khor flamingo hides #5
Near Dubai Creek Harbour A free wildlife stop

Ras Al Khor flamingo hides

Free flamingo hides near Dubai Creek Harbour, open in daytime only, with the Burj Khalifa skyline behind the birds. It is the cheapest wildlife stop on this list and takes less time than the paid parks. Bring binoculars if you have them, and go in the cooler months and in the late afternoon.

Dubai Crocodile Park: the short answer

Dubai Crocodile Park is open daily from 10 AM to 8 PM, and an adult ticket costs AED 95; a child aged 3 to 11 pays AED 75. The park is on Tripoli Street in Mushrif, on the east side of Dubai. Two details to check at booking. The booking page says tickets are valid for 14 days from the date you choose, while the terms say a ticket is valid on the date printed on it, so confirm which applies. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable; the terms describe a refund request by email or phone for tickets bought on the official site, so read that policy before you pay.

Feeding times and the baby crocodile encounter

The park's social feed, shown on its website on 2 November, says that from this season the Friday, Saturday and Sunday feeding shows are at 4:00 PM, earlier than the previous 5:30 PM, because the cooler season has started. We found no published feeding time for Monday to Thursday. Ask at the gate or contact the park if the feeding show is the reason for your visit, and aim for a weekend if you can. The park says zookeepers use a whistle as a signal during the show.

The baby crocodile encounter is listed daily at 11:30 AM and 4:30 PM. The park's guidance for it is to follow the team's instructions, never touch the eyes or the head, keep fingers away from the mouth and use only a gentle touch where the team shows you. On a weekend, the 4:00 PM feeding and the 4:30 PM encounter are close together, so arrive by about 3:30 PM to see both.

What is inside

The main attraction is an outdoor habitat of lakes, waterfalls, islands and sandbanks, where visitors see Nile crocodiles up to 5 m long from different viewpoints. The park says the species can reach 6 m and weigh up to 1,000 kg. The aquarium gives an underwater, face-to-face view of the crocodiles, and the museum follows crocodilians across 200 million years, including their survival of the extinction of the dinosaurs. In September the park announced newborn Nile crocodiles in the museum aquarium.

There is also dining: the Okavango room, which the park calls a refined dining room, and the Okavango terrace, a relaxed, family-friendly terrace with an African lodge theme. A curio shop sells handcrafted African artefacts. The park does not publish a recommended visit length, so plan around the encounter and the feeding show instead of a fixed number of hours.

Location and getting there

The address is Tripoli Street, Mushrif, Dubai. Mushrif is in the east of the city, a long way from the Marina and the Palm. We could not confirm a Metro or bus connection to the door, so plan on a taxi or a ride-hailing car, and allow extra time at rush hour. Our taxi and Careem guide explains fares and apps.

Mushrif National Park, a large Dubai Municipality park, shares the district name; Gulf News lists it at AED 3 per person in October 2026. Check a map for the distance before you plan to walk between the two, and see our guide to Dubai's public parks for what the park offers.

Visiting with children

The park suits curious children, and the rules are clear. Some points to plan around:

  • Supervision. Children under 12 must be with an adult aged 16 or over and under control at all times.
  • Tickets. Under-3s are free, ages 3 to 11 pay AED 75, and from age 12 the adult price applies. A family of two adults and two children aged 3 to 11 pays AED 340.
  • Strollers. Strollers, wheelchairs and mobility scooters are the only wheeled devices allowed.
  • Food. Outside food and drinks are not allowed, and there is dining on site.
  • Dress. A top and shoes are required, and offensive clothing is refused.
  • Heat. The habitat is outdoors, so the cooler months and the late afternoon are the comfortable choice.

For other family plans, best things to do in Dubai with kids sorts activities by age. If you are choosing between animal visits, the Dubai Safari Park guide and the Green Planet guide cover the two most similar days out.

Is it worth it?

It is a specialist visit, not a full day. Crocodiles spend much of the day still, so the feeding show and the encounter are what make the visit lively. If your child likes reptiles, go in the cooler months, time your arrival around the 4:00 PM feeding on a weekend and combine it with a meal on site. If you want many animals, a long walk and a ride, the Safari Park is the bigger day; if you want shade, the Green Planet is indoors.

For a different kind of family day, our full-day desert safari starts at $45 per person with hotel pickup, and the shared yacht tour is one hour on the water from $32. Both can be planned with us on WhatsApp.
